Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang, believes that CEOs should have the most direct reports at a company. He argues that CEOs have the capacity to handle more direct reports because those who report to them require less oversight. Huang also believes that having more direct communication with employees can reduce the influence of critical information on an employee's position within the company. According to Huang, the role of managers is to inspire and support the workforce rather than wield power based on information. While Huang oversees 50 direct reports, the trend of CEOs managing more direct reports is on the rise.
