Neo Asset forays into performing credit with new fund, marks first close

Mumbai-based Neo Asset and Wealth Management, the asset management arm of Neo Group, has launched a performing credit fund. This marks the company's entry into the private credit space and it has achieved its first funding milestone. The fund has received support from Japanese banking major MUFG. Neo Asset is expanding its footprint in the private credit market as it aims to cater to the growing demand for alternative investment opportunities.

What i don't understand is that in last 2 years, the number of credit companies especially pre approved loan companies have skyrocketed. So what exactly is the reason for it. Like how do they suddenly got the system to decide whom to give loans and whom to not.
