Captain Fresh, a seafood and animal protein supply chain startup, has posted a profit within five years of operations and has become one of the fastest-growing startups in its space. The Bengaluru-based firm has also posted over 2X scale in FY25, backed by strong growth in international markets, particularly the United States. The company’s gross revenue (GMV) surged 2.5X to Rs 3,421 crore in FY25 from Rs 1,395 crore in FY24, according to its consolidated financial statements filed with the Registrar of Companies (RoC). Founded in 2020, Captain Fresh operates as a tech-driven, vertically integrated platform that controls the entire seafood value chain from procurement to distribution without owning capital-intensive assets. Captain Fresh generates a major share of its revenue from export markets. The USA contributed over 71% to the operating revenue, growing more than 5.6X to Rs 2,416 crore in FY25 from Rs 362 crore in FY24. India’s contribution, however, declined by 49% to Rs 340 crore, while new markets like Poland (Rs 239 crore) and France (Rs 181 crore) also made significant contributions. Other key geographies included Italy (Rs 50 crore), the UAE (Rs 48 crore), and Spain (Rs 31 crore). The surge in gross revenue stems largely from its acquisition spree. Captain Fresh picked up CenSea in February 2024 and added Ocean Garden to its portfolio this February. Overall, the company has a total of 10 subsidiaries and a joint venture across the United States, Norway, France, Spain, Indonesia, Poland, and the Netherlands. The company’s largest expense, cost of materials, accounted for over 82% of total expenditure, which increased 2X to Rs 2,846 crore in FY25 from Rs 1,311 crore in FY24. Employee benefit expenses more than doubled to Rs 195 crore, while freight and forwarding charges shot up 2.7X to Rs 102 crore. Finance costs grew sharply to Rs 94 crore in FY25. Legal and professional fees remained largely flat at Rs 44 crore, and other expenses stood at Rs 173 crore. Overall, in the line of scale, Captain Fresh’s total costs doubled to Rs 3,454 crore in FY25 from Rs 1,648 crore a year earlier. With over 2X revenue surge, the company turned profitable and posted a net profit of Rs 42 crore against a loss of Rs 229 crore in FY24 (It's worth noting that Rs 68 crore were credited in terms of deferred tax, which helped the company to be in green). The company’s ROCE and EBITDA margin stood at 4.05% and 2.12% respectively. On a unit level, Captain Fresh spent Re 1.01 to earn a rupee of operating revenue, improving from Rs 1.18 in FY24. The firm’s current assets were valued at Rs 1,858 crore, while capital employed rose to Rs 1,358 crore. The company maintained cash and bank balances of Rs 88 crore at the end of FY25. According to the startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Captain Fresh has raised over $200 million to date, including a $30 million pre-IPO round in January this year from Prosus, Accel, Tiger Global, and others. Matrix Partners, Accel, Tiger Global, Ankur Capital, and Prosus are some notable investors for Captain Fresh. Captain Fresh is set to raise Rs 1,700 crore (about $200 million) through a fresh issue of shares as part of its upcoming initial public offering (IPO). The Tiger Global-backed company is reportedly eyeing a total issue size of $350-400 million, including an offer for sale (OFS).

The Gurugram-based firm also reported a profit of Rs 72 crore during the same period. Delhivery’s revenue from operations grew to Rs 2,191 crore in Q4 FY25, according to its financial statements filed with the National Stock Exchange (NSE). For the full fiscal year (FY25), Delhivery’s operating revenue increased 10% to Rs 8,932 crore in FY25 from Rs 8,141 crore in FY24. Delhivery's primary revenue sources were its logistics services, including warehousing, last-mile logistics, and designing and deploying logistics management systems. The firm also earned Rs 112 crore from non-operating activities, bringing its total revenue to Rs 2,303 crore in Q4 FY25. Meanwhile, for the full fiscal year, total income reached Rs 9,372 crore. For Delhivery, freight handling and servicing costs made up 70% of its total expenditure, rising by 3% to Rs 1,566 crore in Q4 FY25. Employee benefit expenses decreased by 6% to Rs 337 crore. Legal, depreciation, and other overhead costs contributed to a minor decrease in overall expenditure, which reached Rs 2,249 crore during the quarter. For the full financial year ending March 2025, the firm’s total expenses rose to Rs 9,217 crore as against Rs 8,825 crore in FY24. Delhivery's continued growth and controlled expenditure resulted in a profit of Rs 72 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to a loss of Rs 68 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal basis, it turned profitable and reported a net profit of Rs 162 crore in FY25 as compared to a loss of Rs 249 crore in FY24. At the close of today’s trading session, Delhivery’s share price stood at Rs 321 per share, giving the company a market capitalization of Rs 23,957 crore.

Info Edge, the parent company of Naukri and 99acres, reported a 14.2% growth in operating revenue in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year (FY25), while its profit jumped 7.7X due to a decline in expenses. The Noida-based company’s operating revenue rose to Rs 750 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 657 crore in Q4 FY24, according to documents sourced from the National Stock Exchange (NSE). On a fiscal basis, the Sanjeev Bikhchandani-led firm recorded Rs 2,849 crore in revenue during FY25, a 12% increase from Rs 2,536 crore in FY24. Info Edge derives the majority of its revenue from Naukri.com, which contributed Rs 542 crore in the quarter ending March 2025, a 13% year-on-year growth compared to Q4 FY24. Meanwhile, revenue from 99acres reached Rs 106 crore, while the Jeevansathi and Shiksha segments collectively generated Rs 102 crore during the same quarter. The company added another Rs 520 crore from interest on deposits and investment which pushed its overall revenue to Rs 1,270 crore in Q4 FY25. On the fiscal basis, its total income stood at Rs 3,922 crore in FY25. On expense side, Info Edge spent 61% of its overall expenditure on employee benefits, which increased a modest 13% year-on-year to Rs 331 crore in Q4 FY25. Its advertising and internet costs stood at Rs 100 crore and 21 crore, respectively. The company’s overall cost grew 15% YoY to Rs 539 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 469 crore in Q4 FY24. Meanwhile on the fiscal basis, total cost rose 9% to Rs 2,002 crore in FY25. The steady growth and surge in other income with controlled expenditure led its profits to spike 7.7X to Rs 678 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 88 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal basis, the firm’s profit doubled to Rs 1,310 crore in FY25 from Rs 594 crore in FY24. As of 2:43 PM, Info Edge is trading at Rs 1,456, down 1.19% from today’s opening price. The firm’s market capitalization stands at Rs 94,337 crore.

Document infrastructure platform Leegality maintained its growth trajectory in the fiscal year ending March 2024. After achieving 100% revenue growth in FY23, the IIFL Fintech Fund-backed company reported an 87% spike in scale in the latest fiscal year. Leegality’s revenue from operations jumped to Rs 62 crore in FY24, as per its financial statement filed with the Registrar of Companies. Leegality enables businesses to digitally transform document logistics, eliminating physical paperwork in the lending ecosystem by providing digital infrastructure, including eSign and eStamping solutions. The sale of these services was the only source of collection for the firm in FY24. Leegality additionally earned Rs 4.2 crore from interest on bank deposits, bringing its total income to Rs 66.41 crore in FY24, a substantial increase from Rs 35.51 crore in FY23. Looking at expenses, employee benefit was the major contributor, accounting for 56% of total costs, increasing by 62.5% to Rs 36.4 crore in FY24 from Rs 22.4 crore in FY23. E-Sign Charges made up 15% of total expenses, rising 2.3 times to Rs 9.5 crore.Tech infrastructure formed 10% of expenses, growing by 55% to Rs 6.6 crore. Other costs, including stamp processing, advertising, and legal fees, brought total expenses to Rs 65 crore during the last fiscal year, reflecting a 66% increase from Rs 39 crore in FY23. With significant revenue growth, Leegality turned profitable in FY24, reporting a profit of Rs 1.11 crore, compared to a loss of Rs 3.5 crore in FY23. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin stood at -2.75% and 3.33%, respectively. On a unit-basis level, the company spent Rs 1.04 to earn each rupee of operating revenue in FY24. The only risk we can see is any government backed alternative like say, Digilocker which expands services to overlap with what these offer.

The company’s operating revenue grew marginally by 0.5% to Rs 501.5 crore in FY25 from Rs 499 crore in the previous fiscal, according to its consolidated financial statement sourced from the Registrar of Companies (RoC). MathCo (formerly The Math Company) is an artificial intelligence and machine learning firm which helps organizations transform intelligence, create demonstrated value, and make them self-sufficient in handling such data. Revenue from these services was the sole source of income for the company. Including other income of Rs 21.5 crore, MathCo’s total income rose to Rs 523 crore in FY25 against Rs 517 crore in FY24. Employee benefit expenses remained the company’s largest cost center, forming 84% of total expenses, though it declined 7% to Rs 374 crore in FY25 from Rs 402 crore in FY24. IT expenses were nearly flat at Rs 12 crore, while depreciation rose to Rs 12.5 crore from Rs 8 crore last year. Travelling expenses increased to Rs 12.6 crore, and finance cost expanded to Rs 3 crore during FY25. Overall, total expenses declined 9% to Rs 444 crore in FY25 from Rs 489 crore in FY24. With the help of controlled expenses, MathCo increased its profit by 4.3X to Rs 64 crore in FY25 from Rs 15 crore in FY24. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin improved to 11.71% and 14.36% respectively. On a unit basis, MathCo spent Rs 0.89 to earn a rupee of operating revenue in FY25, compared to Rs 0.98 a year earlier. The company closed the year with cash and bank balances of Rs 53 crore, while its current assets stood at Rs 454.5 crore.

ZingHR offers staffing and talent acquisition services across various sectors, including BFSI, retail, and IT. The company generates its revenue exclusively from the sale of subscription-based software. Zing HR’s employee benefits remained the largest cost component, accounting for 53% of total expenses. To the tune of scale, this cost remained stable at Rs 80 crore in FY25 as compared to Rs 81 crore in FY24. Among other major expenses, server and data security charges rose 42% to Rs 17 crore, while legal and professional fees nearly doubled to Rs 17 crore. Product maintenance charges grew 22% to Rs 11 crore, and rent expenses increased by 33% to Rs 4 crore. Overall, the company’s total expense rose 13% to Rs 150 crore in FY25 from Rs 133 crore in FY24. With the help of revenue growth, the company managed to achieve profitability. ZingHR posted a profit of Rs 1 crore in FY25 in contrast to a loss of Rs 7 crore in FY24. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin improved to 1.21% and 0.80% respectively. On a unit basis, ZingHR spent Re 1 to earn a rupee of revenue during the year, an improvement from Rs 1.07 in FY24. The company’s total assets grew to Rs 80 crore in FY25, from Rs 71 crore in the preceding year, while its current assets were valued at Rs 58 crore. Cash and bank balances stood at Rs 8 crore as of March 2025. ZingHR has raised $14 million in funding to date, with Tata Capital as its lead investor, holding a 35.82% stake. Competing in the same space as ZingHR, Darwinbox’s total revenue grew to Rs 534 crore in FY25 from Rs 334 crore in FY24 as 63% of the company’s revenue comes from international markets. The company’s adjusted net loss improved by 7% over FY24 in the same period.

Cost of material consumed grew 6% to Rs 1,329 crore, making up 26% of the expenditure, while employee benefits rose 8.3% to Rs 576 crore during the last fiscal year. Other expenses, including transportation and miscellaneous overheads, stood at Rs 1,445 crore during the year. Overall, total expenses inched up by just 2.8% to Rs 5,162 crore in FY25 from Rs 5,023 crore in FY24. With the company’s revenue growth outpacing expense, L'Oréal India increased its profit by 23% to Rs 597 crore in FY25. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin stood at 86.85% and 15.57%, respectively. On a per-unit basis, L'Oréal India spent Rs 0.87 to earn a rupee of operating revenue in FY25, an improvement over Rs 0.90 in FY24. The company closed the last fiscal year with Rs 515 crore in cash and bank balances, while current assets grew to Rs 2,045.

CarTrade has released its financial results for the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year (Q4 FY25) on Wednesday. The company reported a 17% year-on-year revenue growth compared to Q4 FY24, with profit doubling in the same time period. CarTrade’s revenue from operations grew 17% to Rs 169 crore in Q4 FY25 in contrast to Rs 145 crore in Q4 FY24, as per the firm’s unaudited consolidated financial results sourced from the National Stock Exchange. For the full fiscal year ending March 2025, CarTrade’s revenue rose 31% to Rs 641 crore. Including other undisclosed income, its total income for Q4 FY25 grew to Rs 189 crore, up from Rs 161 crore in Q4 FY24. The Mumbai-based company operates in three segments: Consumer, Remarketing, and Classifieds. Income from the consumer segment formed 37% of the total operating revenue which increased to Rs 63 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 49 crore in Q4 FY24. Income from the remarketing and classified segment stood at Rs 59 crore and Rs 47 crore, respectively, in the fourth quarter of the ongoing fiscal year. During the full fiscal year (FY25), income from the consumer segment stood at Rs 238 crore, whereas collection from the remarketing and classified segment stood at Rs 212 crore and Rs 192 crore, respectively. On the expense front, employee benefits expenses formed 52% of the overall spending which went up a modest 6% to Rs 71 crore during the period. Including other costs, CarTrade’s overall expenses increased 4% to Rs 136 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 131 crore during Q4 FY24. On a fiscal-on-fiscal year basis, its overall expenses increased to Rs 543 crore in the last fiscal year from Rs 457 crore in FY24. The decent growth and controlled spending enabled CarTrade to double its net profit to Rs 46 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 23 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal basis, the company’s profit spiked to Rs 145 crore in FY25. CarTrade recorded a 5.8% hike in its share price today and is trading at Rs 1,721 (as of 12:50) with a total market capitalization of Rs 8,168 crore.
