Maruti Suzuki reports highest ever monthly sales in September at 1.81 lakh units

Maruti Suzuki India, the largest car manufacturer in India, achieved its highest ever monthly sales in September 2023, with total wholesales reaching 181,343 units, a 2.8% YoY increase. This includes domestic sales of 153,106 units, sales to other OEM of 5,726 units, and exports of 22,511 units. Maruti Suzuki also surpassed the milestone of selling 1 million units in the first half of the current fiscal year. The company's domestic passenger vehicle sales rose by 2%, while sales of entry-level and compact cars declined. Utility vehicle dispatches, on the other hand, saw a significant 82% growth.
