He was preparing for a competitive MMA fight scheduled for early next year. Zuckerberg expressed his disappointment over the delay but said he is looking forward to the fight after recovering. This comes after Elon Musk challenged Zuckerberg to a cage fight, which was initially sparked by Musk's tweet about Meta's Twitter competitor. Zuckerberg has been an active participant in combat sports, particularly MMA and Jiu-Jitsu.
