Food delivery giants Swiggy, BigBasket, and Zomato are reportedly considering adding low-alcohol drinks such as beer, wine, and liqueurs to their delivery services. Multiple states in India are exploring pilot projects to allow alcohol deliveries through these platforms. In 2020, Swiggy and Zomato had already launched alcohol delivery services in non-metro areas to diversify their offerings during the COVID-19 lockdown. Delivery of alcohol to homes is currently only permitted in Odisha and West Bengal. This move aims to cater to a growing expat population, changing consumer profiles, and those seeking a convenient way to purchase alcohol.

Management has expressed dissatisfaction with low compliance to return-to-office appeals and highlighted that the three-year work-from-home arrangement post-Covid is sufficient. While exceptions will be made for medical reasons, the company expects employees to resume regular office attendance. Infosys is also reinstating charges for bus services and health club facilities.
