Lightspeed Venture Partners leads $4.3M seed in automated financial reporting fintech InScope

InScope, a San Francisco-based startup, is leveraging machine learning and large language models to provide financial reporting and auditing processes for mid-market and enterprise companies. The founders, Mary Antony and Kelsey Gootnick, realized the difficulties companies face in compiling financial statements and disclosures accurately and efficiently. InScope's product automates GAAP and non-GAAP reporting, including cash flow statements. They plan to add features for drafting annual and quarterly financial reports. InScope's competitors include Workiva, but they differentiate themselves by targeting private companies. The startup recently raised $4.3 million in seed funding to scale their product and expand their customer base.
