Instead of traditional materials like paper or glass, Green Bio uses bioplastic granules from Polylactide (PLA) — made from natural resources like corn and sugarcane. PLA looks and feels like plastic but is completely biodegradable.

Sustainable clothing brand UNIREC has secured seed funding of $190,000 from Singapore-based seed fund BeyondSeed. The funding will be used for market expansion and R&D to create innovative sustainable fabrics. In the past 18 months, UNIREC has produced 40,000 garments, recycled 300,000 PET bottles, reduced over 100 tonnes of carbon emissions, and recycled 6,000 kilograms of plastic.
