Kaynes, six others plan investment in Mysuru’s electronics cluster

The Government of Karnataka has earmarked 235.5 acres in Mysuru district for establishing an electronics manufacturing cluster (EMC) at a cost of Rs 245.67 crore. The cluster aims to promote semiconductor manufacturing, complementing Bengaluru's role as the country's design hub. Several companies, including Kaynes Technology India and Gopalan Aerospace, have expressed interest in investing in the EMC. The project is awaiting approval from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), and the state has requested production-linked incentives and fiscal support from MeitY. The location offers advantages in terms of connectivity and logistics, with proximity to airports, seaports, and inland container depots.
