Karnataka govt. launches new cyber security policy

The Karnataka government has launched a cyber security policy aimed at tackling cybercrimes and safeguarding the state's digital infrastructure. The policy focuses on raising awareness, promoting skill building, fostering partnerships, and integrating technology to enhance cyber security measures. It encompasses various sectors such as academia, industry, startups, and the government. The policy has two parts: one focused on building a strong cyber security ecosystem and the other on strengthening the state's IT assets. The government collaborated with relevant stakeholders from both the public and private sectors to develop the policy. Additionally, a skilling program by CISCO was launched to train 40,000 individuals, with an emphasis on empowering women.
