Le Ventures Private Limited, the parent company of Ixigo, has released its annual results for the fiscal year ended March 2024. The Gurugram-based company saw a 31% year-on-year increase in its revenue along with the profits spiking over 3X in the same period. Ixigo’s revenue from operations grew 31% to Rs 656 crore in FY24 from Rs 501 crore in FY23, its consolidated financial statements sourced from the National Stock Exchange (NSE) show. On a sequential basis, the firm recorded a modest 3.3% decrease in its revenue to Rs 164.8 crore in Q4 FY24 from Rs 170.5 crore in Q3 FY24. Ixigo primarily generates income from convenience fees and commissions on train, airline, and bus ticket reservations. Train reservations contributed 56.4% of the total revenue, rising by 24.2% to Rs 370 crore in FY24. Income from airlines and buses stood at Rs 146 crore and Rs 132 crore, respectively in FY24. The company also generated Rs 9.2 crore from interest and financial assets which took its total income to Rs 665 crore in FY24. During FY24, Ixigo had 480 million annual active users. Its flights business saw 77% YoY growth in passenger segments with total booking of 95.6 million in the last fiscal year. Akin to most late-stage tech companies, employee benefits accounted for 22.4% of the total expenditure. This cost increased by 12% to Rs 141 crore in FY24 from Rs 126 crore in FY23. The firm’s expenditure on marketing, legal, refunds to customers, fees to its partners, and other overheads took its overall expenditure up by 29.8% to Rs 628 crore in FY24 from Rs 484 crore in FY23. The 31% growth and tight control on overall cost helped Ixigo to post a 213.3% surge in its profits to Rs 73 crore in FY24 from Rs 23.3 crore in FY23. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin improved to 14.05% and 11.55%, respectively. On a unit level, it spent Rs 0.96 to earn a rupee in FY24. The company also saw nearly an 80% surge in its valuation when compared to pre IPO round. With its current stock price at Rs 167 versus the IPO price of Rs 93, Ixigo will certainly face the challenge of delivering on high market expectations. While the firm has the benefit of a strong economy that has allowed valuations to expand in the public markets too, it does have to contend with intense competition and pressure on margins in the months ahead. That makes its Q1 results for the June quarter a huge event in terms of providing a pointer to its growth momentum.

Ixigo released its financial results for the fourth quarter of the ongoing fiscal year (Q4 FY25) on Wednesday. The company reported a 72% growth in scale, while its year-on-year (YoY) profits increased by 2.4X during the same period. Ixigo’s revenue from operations surged 72% to Rs 284 crore in Q4 FY25 in contrast to Rs 165 crore in Q4 FY24, as per the firm’s consolidated financial results sourced from the National Stock Exchange (NSE). For the full fiscal year (FY25), Ixigo’s operating revenue increased 39% to Rs 914 crore in FY25 from Rs 656 crore in FY24. The Gurugram-based company generated the largest share (44%) of its operating revenue from train ticketing, which rose to Rs 124 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 94 crore in Q4 FY24. Flight and bus booking services contributed 30% and 23% to the company’s revenue, respectively. According to the company, its gross transaction value (GTV) grew 65% year-on-year to Rs 4,418 crore in the fourth quarter of FY25, as compared to Rs 2,685 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides operating revenue, the firm also earned Rs 6 crore via interest and gains from financial assets during the quarter which took its total topline to Rs 290 crore in the quarter ending March 2025. Ixigo has not provided a detailed breakdown of expenses in its quarterly financial statements. However, employee benefits expenses rose by 31% YoY to Rs 46 crore. Overall, the company's total costs grew 73% to Rs 263 crore in Q4 FY25 compared to Rs 152 crore in Q4 FY24. For the full financial year ending March 2025, the firm’s total expenses rose to Rs 846 crore as against Rs 628 crore in FY24. In the end, Ixigo's net profits surged 2.4X to Rs 17 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 7 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal basis, its net profit decreased 18% to Rs 60 crore in FY25 from Rs 73 crore in FY24. Ixigo is currently trading at Rs 167 at the end of today’s session with a total market capitalization of Rs 6,500 crore (approximately $760 million).

Decathlon India operates on a direct-to-consumer model, managing the design, manufacturing, and sale of its sports gear through large retail stores and an e-commerce platform. The company currently operates 90 stores across India. The sale of sports products was the sole source of revenue for Decathlon India. It also added Rs 58 crore from interest on investments and other non-operating income which tallied its overall to Rs 4,066 crore in FY24. The cost of procurement was the latest cost center forming 64.4% of the overall expenditure. This cost was reduced by 4.3% to Rs 2,448 crore in FY24, compared to Rs 2,559 crore in FY23. Decathlon India spent Rs 327 crore on employee benefits. Its controlled spending on power, rent, repairs, fuel, advertising, information technology, freight, franchisee fees, and legal/professional expenses led to an overall cost reduction of 4.5% to Rs 3,797 crore in FY24 from Rs 3,975 crore in FY23. Despite modest revenue growth, Decathlon India’s cost-control measures enabled it to post a net profit of Rs 197 crore in FY24, a sharp recovery from a Rs 18.6 crore loss in FY23. On a unit level, the company spent Re 0.95 to earn a rupee, with improved ROCE at 17.79% and EBITDA at 14.49%. By the end of the last fiscal year (FY24), its total current assets stood at Rs 1,247 crore, including Rs 325 crore in cash and bank balances. Last year, Decathlon India CEO Sankar Chatterjee mentioned that the company plans to double its revenue to Rs 8,000 crore within the next 3 to 5 years.

Gameberry, the mobile gaming company behind popular titles like Ludo Star and Parchisi Star, delivered impressive results for FY24. The company’s operating revenue grew by 47% year-on-year, while its profit soared 2.5X to Rs 92.8 crore for the fiscal year ending March 2024. Gameberry’s revenue from operations grew by 46.9% to Rs 461.7 crore in FY24, up from Rs 314.3 crore in FY23, according to its consolidated financial statement filed with the Registrar of Companies (RoC). The company makes money from in-app purchases and advertisements. Revenue from in-app sales spiked 49.4% to Rs 365.4 crore in FY24, contributing 79.1% of total operating revenue. Meanwhile, collection from advertisements grew by 38.2% year-on-year to Rs 96.3 crore. The company also made an additional Rs 23 crore from interest income which pushed its total income to Rs 485 crore in FY24. On the expense side, Gameberry’s total costs rose by 29.6% to Rs 360.5 crore in FY24 from Rs 278.1 crore in FY23. Employee benefit costs, the largest expense category, increased by 9.6% to Rs 112.6 crore. Advertising costs rose significantly by 51% to Rs 67.8 crore, while settlement expense stood at Rs 50.8 crore. Other expenses, which include IT and operational costs, grew by 37.1% to Rs 129.3 crore during the last fiscal year. The settlement expense includes payments tied to an agreement with Moonfrog Labs Private Limited (MLPL) related to a case formerly pending before the City Civil Court, Bengaluru. Under the settlement, Gameberry agreed to a one-time payment of Rs 32.8 crore and a fixed percentage of its monthly net revenues till 2030. The optimization of expenses and growth in high-margin revenue streams enabled Gameberry to improve its profit margins. Gamesberry’s net profit spiked 2.5X to Rs 92.8 crore in FY24 from Rs 37.1 crore in FY23. The firm recorded an EBITDA margin of 26.05% and a ROCE of 30.54% in FY24. On a unit basis, the company spent Rs 0.78 to earn a rupee in the fiscal year. Gameberry’s cash and bank balances stood at Rs 325.7 crore, while its current assets were worth Rs 411 crore as of March 2024. In the real-money gaming sector, MPL recorded a 22.2% rise in revenue from operations, reaching Rs 1,068 crore ($127.9 million) in FY24, while also turning cash flow positive during the year. Meanwhile, major competitors like Dream11, Gameskraft, and A23 are yet to submit their financial results for FY24.

Moreover, with this pace, the Mumbai-based company became profitable in the same period. Traya’s revenue from operations surged 3.8X to Rs 236 crore in FY24 from Rs 61 crore in FY23, its annual financial statements sourced from the Registrar of Companies show. Established in 2019, Traya focuses on addressing hair loss at its core by identifying the underlying causes. It provides personalized hair solutions and guidance from a team of experienced hair coaches and physicians. Income from product sales accounted for 99.36% of Traya's total operating revenue, which rose to Rs 234.5 crore in FY24, up from Rs 61 crore in FY23. The rest income came from courier services and doctor consultation fees. Moving on to the expense part, marketing and sales accounted for 43% of the overall expenditure. This cost grew twofold to Rs 98 crore in FY24 from Rs 51 crore in FY23. To the tune of scale, the cost of procurement of materials surged 3.6X to Rs 54 crore in FY24. Traya’s employee benefits also saw a 4X surge to Rs 36 crore in FY23. Other overheads including freight, legal, and travelling increased the overall cost by 154% to Rs 229 crore in FY23 from Rs 90 crore in FY23. The 3.8X growth in scale enabled Traya to achieve a notable profit of Rs 9 crore in FY24, a stark contrast to the Rs 28 crore loss in FY23. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin improved to 8.7% and 5.04%, respectively. On a unit basis, the company spent Rs 0.97 to earn a rupee in FY24. Traya's total current assets recorded at Rs 159 crore, with a cash balance of Rs 85 crore at the end of the previous fiscal year. According to startup-data intelligence platform TheKredible, Traya has raised approximately Rs 96 crore to date, including Rs 75 crore in funding from Xponentia Capital in April this year. The company counts notable investors such as Fireside Ventures, Kae Capital, Xponentia Capital, and Whiteboard Capital.
