International Women's Day 2024: Infosys aims for 45% women in workforce by 2030

In an interview with Mint, Aruna C Newton, VP and Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Infosys, discussed the company's initiatives to attract and retain female talent. Currently, they have a 39.3% representation of women in their workforce, and they aim to increase this to 45% by 2030. Newton highlighted programs like career intentionality, maternity support, return to work initiatives, leadership coaching, mentorship interventions, and flexible work options. Infosys recognizes the challenges of gender bias and has launched campaigns to create awareness and address unconscious bias. A more diverse and inclusive IT workforce is believed to benefit the Indian IT industry as it taps into a large pool of STEM talent.
