IndiGo has announced the introduction of its business class product, #IndiGoStretch, on the Delhi-Mumbai route. Bookings will be available starting from August 6 for travel beginning on November 14. This move marks a significant shift for the low-cost carrier, as it ventures into the premium services segment. The CEO of IndiGo, Pieter Elbers, also revealed plans to launch a customer loyalty program called 'IndiGo BluChip'. IndiGo will be offering business class seats on 12 domestic routes, targeting busy and business-oriented routes. Other airlines in India currently offering business-class seats include Air India, Air India Express, and Vistara.

InterGlobe Aviation, the parent company of IndiGo, has announced that it has grounded an aircraft involved in a tail strike incident on a Delhi-Bangalore flight. The airline stated that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation is investigating the incident, and the flight crew has been taken off duty. In addition, IndiGo apologized for the cancellation of two other flights, one from Ranchi to Delhi and the other from Mumbai to Doha, due to technical reasons. The affected passengers were provided with alternatives and necessary arrangements.

The joint venture aims to deploy 200 electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. The initial route is expected to connect Connaught Place in Delhi to Gurugram in under seven minutes. The cost of the deal is estimated at $1 billion.
