IN-SPACe Releases Guidelines To Implement Space Policy

The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) has released guidelines for the implementation of the Indian Space Policy 2023. They cover various space-related activities that require authorisation and outline criteria and prerequisites necessary to seek approvals. Only Indian entities can apply for authorisation from IN-SPACe, while foreign companies can do so through their Indian subsidiary or joint venture. Approval is subject to compliance with national security regulations, and non-compliance may result in revocation of authorisation. The guidelines also include penalties for discontinuation of services.
