HCL Technologies has mandated all employees of its Digital Foundation Services (DFS) division to work in the office at least three days a week starting from February 19. This decision comes as more tech companies are moving away from remote work and advocating for office-centered models to promote teamwork and in-person interactions. LTI Mindtree, one of India's largest IT services companies, has implemented a policy that links employee leave to their return to the office. The policy, called "Rhythm," categorizes employees into three groups based on their work nature and assigns them to work from the office for a certain number of days each week. In case of non-compliance, employees may lose leave days, and continuous violations could result in stricter disciplinary action. Other IT services companies in India have also been implementing similar policies to encourage employees to return to the office.
