Google Wallet is now available in India

Google has launched its digital wallet, Google Wallet, in India. The app will work alongside the existing Google Pay app and is tailored for non-payment use cases, allowing users to store and access boarding passes, gift cards, tickets, loyalty cards, and more. Users can add these items using a QR code, barcode, or link shared through Gmail. Initially, the app will collaborate with 20 brands, including Flipkart, Air India, and MakeMyTrip, as well as local transport operators. Android dominates the Indian smartphone market, making it an ideal market for Google Wallet.
