India's state-run natural gas company, GAIL, is set to commission the country's first green hydrogen project in April. The project, located in Madhya Pradesh, will feature a 10-megawatt proton exchange membrane electrolyser imported from Canada. Once operational, it is expected to produce 4.3 metric tons of hydrogen per day with a purity level of 99.999%. The project aligns with India's goal of achieving 5 million tons of green hydrogen production capacity by 2030. GAIL's efforts in the green hydrogen sector demonstrate its commitment to embracing sustainable technologies. The Indian government has also released guidelines for pilot projects exploring green hydrogen in the transport sector.
