Fragaria Fruits raises $2 Mn in seed round led by WEH Ventures Farming company Fragaria Fruits has raised $2 million in a seed funding round led by WEH Ventures, along with participation from Rainmatter, Spiral Ventures, and angel investors such as Sashi Kumar. The startup had previously raised Rs 1.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round. The fresh funds will be utilized to scale its operations in Bengaluru, expand its premium fruit portfolio to include blueberries and raspberries, and provide a year-round supply of high-quality, sustainable produce to the Indian market, Fragaria said in a press release. Co-founded in 2024 by Harish Varadharajan, Timothy Chad Van Niekerk, and Damian López-Salazar, Fragaria Fruits aspires to address a critical gap in India’s fruit industry: the lack of consistently high-quality, fresh fruit available year-round. It aims to redefine the fruit-eating experience for Indian consumers by delivering premium, sustainably grown produce using world-class farming techniques. According to the Chennai-based startup, its flagship brand, Oh! Fruits, offers European strawberries grown in Chennai using advanced vertical farming technology, which are twice as sweet as conventional Indian varieties, pesticide-free, and have a shelf life up to three times longer than typical market options. The company’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in its water recycling systems, solar power integration, and efforts to reduce the environmental footprint of farming while maintaining affordability. By using Controlled Environmental Agriculture (CEA) and vertical farming, Fragaria has built a sustainable and scalable model to grow premium strawberries year-round. It plans to expand production in Bengaluru, increasing daily output from 2–3 kg to 120–150 kg. The startup doesn't have any local brands to compete with for fruits, but there are limited imported fruit brands in India, such as Driscoll’s (berries), Zespri (kiwi), and Rockit (apples).

Quick fashion delivery startup KNOT raises $3 Mn led by Kae Capital Mumbai-based quick commerce fashion platform KNOT has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A round led by Kae Capital with participation from Sparrow Capital, Boundless Ventures LLP, and founders of SNITCH, The Souled Store, and Bonkers Corner. Existing investors WEH Ventures, All In Capital, and Kumar Saurabh (Aukera Jewellery) also backed the round. The new funding will fuel product development, expansion beyond Mumbai, and deepen brand partnerships. Founded in 2025 by Archit Nanda and Rachit Bansal, KNOT is reimagining online fashion delivery with its 60-minute delivery model and Try ‘n Buy experience in Mumbai. The idea was born after the duo pivoted from their earlier venture Slick, spotting a major gap in how Gen Z and millennials discover and shop for fashion. KNOT currently claims to have partnered with over 70 fashion brands, fulfilling thousands of orders monthly. Its standout features include AI-based virtual try-ons, doorstep trials with instant returns, and influencer-led discovery. In the same space, ZILO secured $4.5 million in seed funding led by Info Edge Ventures and Chiratae Ventures, last month. Fashion delivery startup Slikk also secured $10 million in funding. Myntra, which launched rapid apparel delivery in December 2024, has now extended the service to additional cities.

Founded in July 2023 by Vimal Singh Rathore and Aseem Gupta, SuperKalam provides personalized guidance and support for competitive exams. By using AI-driven analytics, the platform adapts to each student’s unique needs, offering tailored learning paths, instant doubt resolution, and progress tracking. Since its inception, SuperKalam claims to have over 60,000 students and it continues by providing students with tailored mentorship and support through its AI technology. This is the second edtech startup by co-founder Vimal, following Coursavy, which was acquired by Unacademy in September 2020.

The proceeds will be used for key business growth initiatives, including acquiring solar projects, scaling marketing with the regulated platform launch, strengthening operations, and covering legal expenses. Founded by Hardik Bhatia and Devansh Shah, SustVest specializes in sustainable investments in renewable energy. The platform claims to have achieved over Rs 43 crore in Assets Under Management (AUM) with 9.3 MW of solar installations, distributed over Rs 5.7 crore in energy income and saved over 94 lakh kg of carbon emissions. The startup claims to offer investors fixed-income opportunities with environmental impact while enabling C&I consumers to access zero-cost solar projects at up to 50% lower tariffs. Its portfolio includes renowned clients such as Lodha Group, Hitachi, Mahle Group, Subros Ltd, CISF, NSG, CRPF, and others.
