Exclusive: Zypp Electric raises $6.5 Mn in ongoing Series C B2B delivery and shared mobility startup Zypp Electric is raising Rs 55.4 crore ($6.5 million) from 16 investors, which seems to be part of the ongoing Series C funding round for the Gurugram-based company. The board at Zypp Electric has passed a special resolution to issue 564 Series C2 CCPS at an issue price of Rs 9,83,005 each to raise Rs 55.4 crore, its regulatory filing accessed from the Registrar of Companies shows. Individuals including Ajay Kumar Aggarwal, Samir Goenka, Narinder Bajaj, Kapil Kriplani, Vega Industries, Gagan Khanna, Supersonic Carrier, Nirmal K Bathwal, and 10 other investors will cumulatively participate during the investment. According to Entrackr’s estimates, the company will be valued at around $335-350 million. This seems to be part of an ongoing round, and the valuation may vary with further injection. According to the company, it may raise up to $50 million in the Series C fundraise. In May last year, Zypp kicked off the new round with a $15 million tranche led by ENEOS. The company was backed by IAN Fund, 9 Unicorns (now 100 Unicorns), Anthill Ventures, Eiman Abdullah Mahfood Al Qatar, and others. Founded by Akash Gupta and Rashi Agrawal in 2017, Zypp Electric is an EV-as-a-service platform offering electric vehicle rentals along with delivery services through its e-scooter fleet for gig workers. The company claims to have around 22,000 active vehicles in its fleet, with 15,000 in Delhi NCR, 4,000 in Bengaluru, and 1,200 in Mumbai. Zypp Electric witnessed significant 2.6X growth, with its operating revenue crossing Rs 290 crore during the fiscal year ended March 2024. However, in pursuit of scale, the losses for the firm rose 2.2X to Rs 91 crore in the same period.

Homegrown D2C ayurvedic nutrition brand Kapiva has raised Rs 83.5 crore (approximately $10 million) led by OrbiMed Asia with the participation of 3One4 Capital and Vertex Ventures. The board at Kapiva has passed a special resolution to issue 5,62,631 compulsory convertible preference shares to raise the aforementioned sum, its regulatory filing sourced from the Registrar of Companies shows. OrbiMed Asia led the round with Rs 52.2 crore, while 3One4 Capital and Vertex Ventures participated with Rs 11.96 crore and Rs 19.33 crore, respectively. The fresh funding appears to be part of Kapiva’s Series C round, in which the firm is aiming to raise a total of Rs 250 crore. Entrackr exclusively reported about Kapiva’s Series C round in Nov 2022. With the fresh tranche, the firm has raised Rs 132 crore in the ongoing round. It had already raised Rs 48.75 crore ($6 million) in Series C from OrbiMed and other existing investors back in October 2022. Kapiva has also increased its ESOP size by adding 1,415,00 new employee stock, bringing the total ESOP pool to 4,47,741, separate filing shows. As per the Entrackr estimates, its ESOP pool size is now worth Rs 66 crore. Kapiva will use these funds for the expansion and development of the company. Kaviva has raised over $30 million to date and has notable investors including Jetty Ventures, Fireside, OrbiMed, 3One4Capital, and others. According to the startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, the company has been valued at around $80 million post-allotment. Founded in 2015, Kapiva is an ayurvedic nutrition brand that offers natural and organic health and skincare products for hair fall, weight loss, digestion, diabetes in the form of juices, tea, oils, shakes et al. During the fiscal year ended March 2023, Kaviva registered 87% year-on-year growth to Rs 116.48 crore with a loss standing at Rs 64.5 crore in the same period. Kapiva is yet to file its annual results for FY24. While the D2C ayurveda space is crowded with plenty of organized brands, Upakarma Ayurveda, and Dr. Vaidya’s, Varalife, among others are Kapiva’s notable competitors.

Yulu, an electric two-wheeler company, has raised $19.25 million (about Rs 160 crore) in equity funding from existing investors Magna and Bajaj Auto Ltd. The additional capital will enable Yulu to maintain its growth streak and will strengthen its market leadership as it expands in terms of vehicles, operational locations, and product and technology innovation, the company said in a press release. In September 2022, Yulu raised $82 million in equity funding led by US-based Magna International in a Series B funding round. The firm also raised $3 million in debt financing in January this year. Entrackr exclusively reported the development. The startup has scooped up more than $130 million to date. Six-year-old Yulu offers last-mile connectivity through its electric bike and network of EV charging and battery swapping network. It provides urban Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi-NCR. Through Yuma, which is a joint venture between Yulu and Canadian automotive supplier Magna, it has done more than 6.5 million swaps to date. Yulu co-founder and CEO Amit Gupta also confirmed that the firm is on track to raise its Series C round soon. “Yulu will continue to strengthen its leadership in the mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) segment by deepening existing business lines and opening up new use cases and geographies. Hence, we will look to raise additional funds to power our growth. We are gratified to see a lot of inbound interest from institutional investors and will raise additional capital later this year,” he said in a statement. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Yulu registered Rs 41.74 crore in revenue from operations in FY23 against Rs 29 crore in FY22. During the period, its losses also jumped to Rs 95 crore from Rs 55 crore. As per Yulu, it has seen a nearly 5x leap in revenue over the past five years. The company competes with Zypp Electric, Bounce, Ebikego, and among others.

Commercial electric vehicle manufacturer ​​Euler Motors has raised Rs 200 crore ($24 million) more in Series C round led by new investor Piramal Alternatives India Access Fund. Existing investors British International Investment and Blume Ventures also participated in the funding tranche. Euler Motors will utilize the fresh proceeds for pan-India presence and raising servicing infrastructure in 40 cities by March 2025, Euler Motors said in a press release. With this, the Delhi-based company also claimed to raise Rs 570 crore ($68.6 million) in its series C round. The firm had raised Rs 120 crore (approximately $14.5 million) in an extended Series C round co-led by British International Investment and Blume Ventures in November last year. It has raised Rs 770 crore ($92 million) to date. As per startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Euler was valued at around $160 million during an extended Series C round in November 2023. According to Euler Motors, its commercial electric vehicles collectively transported goods over 45 million kilometers. The company’s flagship model HiLoad EV claims to be the most powerful electric cargo three-wheeler, with a range of 170 kilometers. In FY24, the company claims to have sold 3,700 vehicles and expanded its presence from 5 to 22 cities. On the lines of many startups, Euler also laid off 10% of its employees to cut costs and navigate through a tight funding environment. For the fiscal year ending in March 2023, Euler registered Rs 61.53 crore in revenue from operations against Rs 17.57 crore in FY22. As per TheKredible, its losses spiked nearly 5X to Rs 174.73 crore in FY23 from Rs 36.33 crore in the previous year. The heavy losses could be attributed to investment made by the firm in creating infrastructure and facilities. In the electric three-wheeler space, it competes with Altigreen and legacy players like Mahindra Electric, Piaggio, Kinetic Green, and Tata, among others.

Singularity AMC led the tranche with an investment of Rs 25.76 crore (nearly $3 million), followed by Lotus Family Trust, which put in Rs 18.5 crore. Anchorage Capital, Volrado Venture Partners, Param Capital, and S Gupta Family Investments each invested Rs 17.98 crore. The remaining amount was contributed by other investors, including angel investors Lakshay Singhal, Anubhav Gupta and company’s founder Naresh Rawal. According to Entrackr’s analysis, the company is currently valued at around Rs 538 crore or $61 million post-money. Founded in 2022 by Naresh Rawal, Qucev is a next-generation electric commercial vehicle company in partnership with China-based EV manufacturer BYD, designs and manufactures electric tractors, trucks, buses, and three-wheelers, focusing on sustainable and cost-effective mobility. Beyond manufacturing and sales, Qucev also offers financing, charging infrastructure, and fleet solutions. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Qucev has previously raised around $4 million from Singularity AMC, Barclays and Maa Creations. For the fiscal year ended March 2025, the company did not report any product sales and generated Rs 2.08 crore from the sale of services. During the same period, it recorded a loss of Rs 9.35 crore. Qucev competes with players like Euler Motors, Altigreen, as well as established names such as Mahindra Electric, Piaggio, Kinetic Green, Tata, and others.

Mobility startup Everest Fleet has raised Rs 251.7 crore (approximately $30 million) in its Series C round from global ride-hailing giant Uber. This marks Uber’s second investment in the company, which manages a cab fleet for the platform. The board at Everest Fleet has passed a resolution to issue 13,726 Series C preference shares to raise the aforementioned sum, its regulatory filing accessed from the Registrar of Companies (RoC) shows. According to the startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Everest Fleet has been valued at around $425 million post-allotment. The Mumbai-based firm will use the fresh proceeds to meet general operating, working capital requirements, capital expenditure and to expand the business operations, the filings added. Following the fresh investment, Uber has become the largest external stakeholder in Everest Fleet, with a 11.37% stake. Meanwhile, the firm’s founder, Siddharth Anand Ladsariya, holds 52%. Everest Fleet also maintains an ESOP pool, representing 4.76% of the company. In August, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) made a commitment to invest $20 million in equity in the Bengaluru-based startup. If this deal gets through, the Series C round will stretch to the tune of $50 million. Founded in 2016, Everest Fleet operates in the shared mobility space in India and is an existing partner to Uber and Ola. As per the company, it’s Uber’s largest professionally managed fleet supplier in the country. In June last year, Everest Fleet scooped up $20 million led by Uber. It also provided a partial exit to its early backer Artha Venture. Earlier this year, the Ladsariya-led firm received Rs 100 crore ($12 million) in debt from Axis Bank to purchase electric vehicles. For the fiscal year ending in March 2024 (FY24), Everest Fleet’s revenue spiked almost 2.2X to Rs 1,015-1,020 crore from Rs 466 crore in FY23, according to the company’s disclosure to CRISIL Ratings. The company reported Rs 466 crore revenue and Rs 41 crore profit in FY23.

Dairy brand Country Delight has raised Rs 76 crore ($9 million) through debt and equity from Alteria Capital. This is the second funding for the Gurugram-based company this year. The board at Country Delight has passed a special resolution to issue 70,000 debentures at an issue price of Rs 1,00,000 each and 3,160 Series E1 CCPS at an issue price of Rs 21,045 each to raise Rs 76.65 crore, its regulatory filing accessed from RoC shows. In January, Country Delight raised 20 million in its series E round from Temasek, Seviora Capital, Venturi Partners, and others. The company is close to becoming a unicorn as it was valued at around $820 million in the last equity round. It has raised around $175 million to date. Launched by Chakradhar Gade and Nitin Kaushal, Country Delight provides a range of dairy products, bakery goods, poultry, and farm produce to its customers. The company sources its products directly from dairy farms and caters to customers in 15 cities including Delhi (NCR), Mumbai, Bengaluru, Jaipur, Chennai, and Pune. As per startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Orios Venture Partners was the largest stakeholder in Country Delight with 21.35% stake followed by Matrix and Elevation with 16.59% and 9.38% stake respectively. In February, Orios Venture Partners made a partial exit from Country Delight by selling 3% stake for around Rs 225 crore. Orios sold its stake to Temasek-backed asset management group Seviora. As per media report, Country Delight’s operating revenue stood at Rs 650 crore in the first half of the ongoing financial year (FY24). In FY23, its revenue was estimated at around Rs 900 crore against Rs 542.6 crore in FY22. The firm is yet to report FY23 numbers officially. In January, Country Delight’s competitor Akshayakalpa Organic raised $12 million in its Series C round led by A91 Partners. The firm is in talks to close a larger round to the tune of $25 million.

After this funding round, Vertex Ventures and IFC VVSEA Co-Invest together will hold a 22.89% stake, while Avaana Capital and Chakra Growth Capital will own 17.02% and 1.51% stakes, respectively. Founded in 2020 by Akshay Shekhar and Vaibhav Tyagi, Kazam is an EV charging software platform that develops smart and affordable charging networks. Its technology supports a wide variety of vehicles, including two-wheelers, commercial electric vehicles (CEVs), three-wheelers, and city buses. It claims to power over 25,000 charging points. The Bengaluru-based firm works with the likes of BigBasket, Zypp, Mahindra, Bajaj, Ather, TVS, Hero MotoCorp, and Ultraviolette. The company is yet to file its annual results for FY25. According to the startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, its revenue from operations surged 3.3X to Rs 12.19 crore during the fiscal year ended in March 2024 while its losses stood at Rs 10.2 crore in the same fiscal year.
