Pandorum Technologies, a Bengaluru-based biotechnology startup focused on tissue engineering, is raising Rs 85 crore (around $10 million) in its Series B round led by Protons Corporate, along with participation from a clutch of other investors. The company’s board has approved a special resolution to issue 35,326 Series B preference shares at an issue price of Rs 23,920 each, according to regulatory filings sourced from the Registrar of Companies. Protons Corporate, managed by Anand Karbhari, is leading the round with Rs 27 crore, while Noblevast Advisory is contributing Rs 16.1 crore. A set of well-known angel investors, including Ashish Kacholia, Ankit Kawatra, Kishore Jagjival Gokal, Srinivas Rao Ravuri, and Kailash Ramlal Jhaveri, are also participating in the fundraising. As per the filings, Pandorum has already received Rs 45 crore from this round, with the remaining capital expected to be infused soon. The fresh funds will be deployed towards the company’s operational requirements, expansion plans, and to provide financial support to its wholly-owned subsidiaries. Entrackr’s estimates peg Pandorum’s post-money valuation at around Rs 750 crore ($85 million) following this transaction. Before this round, the company had secured $11 million last year as an extension of its Series A. Earlier, it had raised Rs 41 crore in 2020 and Rs 23 crore in 2017. Founded in 2011 by Arun Chandru and Tuhin Bhowmick, Pandorum Technologies builds lab-grown human tissues for drug discovery and regenerative medicine. Its engineered liver and corneal models, developed on a proprietary bioprinting platform, are used by pharma companies for high-precision testing and research. The company monetises through contract research, licensing, and long-term co-development partnerships, positioning it among the few IP-heavy deep-science ventures in India. Pandorum is yet to file its FY25 numbers. In FY24, Pandorum remained in the pre-revenue stage while posting losses of Rs 28.2 crore.

This is the second significant round for the Mumbai-based company in the past 9 months. Crystal investments pumped in Rs 140 crore (approximately $16.8 million) while Mufg Bank and individual investor Deepak Agarwal participated with Rs 78 crore and Rs 2 crore, respectively. This seems to be part of an ongoing round and the firm may raise more funds.. As per TheKredible’s estimates, the company has been valued at around Rs 1,920 crore or $231 million post-allotment. Neo has raised around $104 million to date including its $35 million Series B round led by Peak XV in October last year. According to the startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Peak VV was the largest external shareholder, holding 22.22% of the company. Meanwhile, its co-founders—Nitin Jain, Varun Bajpai, and Hemant Dogra—collectively held 63.81% prior to this funding round. Neo provides advisory and yield-based investment solutions to high and ultra-high net worth individuals including indigenous family offices. The three-year-old firm demonstrated supper growth in the fiscal year ending March 2023 as its revenue ballooned 9X to Rs 65.1 crore. Neo achieved such growth with a mere loss of Rs 3.6 crore during FY23. The company is yet to disclose its FY24 results.

Lohum Cleantech, a producer of clean energy transition materials through battery recycling and repurposing, has raised Rs 119 crore (approximately $14.5 million) as a part of its ongoing Series B round. The board at Lohum has passed a special resolution to issue 844 Series B2 CCPS at an issue price of Rs 14,13,632 each to raise Rs 119.31 crore, its regulatory filing accessed from the Registrar of Companies shows. Singularity Growth led the tranche with Rs 55 crore while Vyoman India and Baring Private Equity poured in Rs 11 crore and Rs 10 crore, respectively. Angel investors Mukul Mahavirparasad Agarwal and Madhuri Madhusudan invested Rs 11 crore and Rs 10 crore each. The company has passed a separate board resolution to issue 2,501 debentures to Stride Ventures debt fund to raise Rs 25 crore. Lohum will use these proceeds for the capital expenditures, marketing, and general corporate purposes of the company as per the business plan approved by the board, the company said in the filing. Following the fresh funds, Baring Private Equity holds 5.58% while Cactus Partners and Singularity Growth Opportunities command 2.89% and 1.62%, respectively, in the firm. According to the startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, the company has been valued at around Rs 3,470 crore or $422 million post-allotment. The company had previously raised $7 million in January 2021. It has already raised $23 million as part of the series B, which kicked in August last year. As per media reports, it was in talks to raise $100 million in Series B. Lohum claims to be one of the largest producers of sustainable energy transition materials through integrated battery recycling & raw material refining and battery repurposing. As per Lohum, its lithium-ion battery material recycling and extraction technology regenerates top-quality materials and produces zero waste. It repurposes EV batteries to make second-life energy storage systems (ESS) for renewable energy storage and grid stabilization. Lohum has shown an impressive financial performance with its revenue surging 2.9X to Rs 308 crore in FY23 from Rs 106 crore in FY23. The company also posted a profit of Rs 8.88 crore in the same period.

Founded by Anurag Kedia in 2019, Pilgrim offers more than 90 SKUs across face care, haircare, and skincare products, and fragrances in over 25,000 pin codes. The company said that it offers a wide range of products curated with ingredients from France, Korea, Spain, Australia, the Amazon Rainforest, and Swiss glaciers. The five-year-old firm has raised around $35 million across rounds including its $20 million Series B led by Vertex Ventures in 2023. The company posted 4.47X growth in scale to Rs 76 crore in FY23 from Rs 17 crore in FY22. In pursuit of growth, its losses also jumped 3X to Rs 23 crore in FY23. Pilgrim is yet to file annual results for FY24.

Five Rivers Investment and Thomas Azavedo will contribute Rs 4.5 crore and Rs 3.5 crore, respectively. The remaining amount will come from other investors, including a group of angels. Snapmint is likely to raise additional funds in the ongoing round. According to media reports, the company may also see a secondary transaction in Series B. According to Entrackr’s estimates, Snapmint will be valued at around Rs 1,650 crore or around $187 million post-money. Founded in 2017 by Nalin Agrawal, Anil Gelra, and Abhineet Sawa, Snapmint enables shoppers to access credit for purchasing mobiles, electronics, home and kitchen appliances, health and wellness products, and more. Its digital platform, Nimbus, provides customised and easy-to-integrate solutions for partner merchants, helping them boost both sales and customer acquisition. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Snapmint has raised around $65 million to date, including $18 million in a mix of debt and equity secured in December last year. Following the latest allotment, General Atlantic will hold an 18.8% stake in the company. For the fiscal year ended March 2025, Mumbai-based Snapmint reported a nearly 80% year-on-year increase in revenue to Rs 158.5 crore and turned profitable with a net profit of Rs 15 crore.

Founded in 2024 by Aayush Agarwal, Snabbit is an on-demand home services platform that connects households with trained professionals for tasks such as cleaning, dishwashing, and laundry. Users can book experts by the hour, with service providers arriving within 10 minutes. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Snabbit had raised around $25 million prior to this round. Following the latest allotment, new investor Bertelsmann will hold an 8.5% stake in the company, while Nexus Venture Partners will remain the largest external shareholder with a 21.24% stake. Elevation Capital and Lightspeed will own 19.93% and 14.79% stakes, respectively. Snabbit directly competes with industry leader Urban Company, which was recently listed on Indian stock exchanges. It also faces competition from Pronto, a ten-minute house help service startup that raised $11 million in a round co-led by General Catalyst and Glade Brook Capital.
