Tech-enabled grocery retail chain SuperK has raised Rs 31 crore approximately ($3.7 million) in its Series A round led by Catalyst Trusteeship Limited (Blume Venture). This marks the first fundraise for the Hyderabad-based company in 2024. The board at SuperK has passed a special resolution to issue 4,521 Series A CCPS at an issue price of Rs 68,569 each to raise Rs 31 crore, its regulatory filing sourced from the Registrar of Companies show. Catalyst Trusteeship (Blume Venture) spearheaded the round with Rs 21.65 crore while VSS Investment Fund, Veltis Capital, Stargazer Fund, CoralBay Ventures, Silver Needle VenturesHOF Profectus, IA Growth Opportunities, and Abhishek Goyal collectively poured the rest of the amount. The company will use these investments to meet its growth and expansion objectives and to strengthen its financial position, the filing further added. Following the fresh proceeds, Blume Ventures holds 10.1% while Silver Needle Ventures and Veltis Capital will command 1.26% and 1.06% of the company. This marks a 25% down in its valuation when compared to its last fundraising. The company has raised around $15 million to date including its $5.5 million led by Binny Bansal-backed 021 capital in March 2022. Founded in 2019, SuperK operates a grocery retail chain with an asset-light franchise model. The company claims to have more than 100 stores across Kadapa and Anantapur. SuperK showcased strong financial performance in the last fiscal year as its revenue surged 3X to Rs 59 crore in FY23 from Rs 19.2 crore in FY22. Meanwhile, the firm’s losses stood at Rs 23.5 crore in the same period.

Exclusive: Curefoods to raise debt from Blacksoil and Binny Bansal Cloud kitchen startup Curefoods is raising Rs 56.4 crore (approximately $6.6 million) in debt, led by BlackSoil Group and with participation from existing backer Binny Bansal. This will be the first debt round for the Bengaluru-based firm this year. The board at Curefoods has passed a special resolution to issue 1,000 non-convertible debentures at an issue price of Rs 5,00,000 each to BlackSoil, raising Rs 50 crore, and 595 compulsory convertible debentures to Binny Bansal worth Rs 6.4 crore, according to a regulatory filing accessed from the Registrar of Companies (RoC). The proceeds will be used for the company's working capital requirements and business expansion, as per filings. Curefoods is a cloud kitchen platform operating brands such as EatFit, Sharief Bhai, Olio Pizza, Krispy Kreme, Nomad Pizza, and others. Currently, it runs over 100 kitchens in over 200 locations in India. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Curefoods has raised $125 million across rounds from the likes of Binny Bansal-backed Three State Capital, Iron Pillar, and Chiratae Ventures, among others. Curefoods has also raised Rs 37 crore from Landmark Group in February via equity. Curefoods demonstrated notable financial performance in FY24, reporting a surge of over 50% in operating revenue to Rs 585 crore, while reducing losses by 50% to Rs 172.6 crore during the same period. The Ankit Nagori-led firm is reportedly planning to launch its $300–400 million initial public offering (IPO) in the latter part of FY26.

Titan Capital Winners Fund, which is backed by Snapdeal co-founders Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal, has raised its target corpus of Rs 200 crore as the duo will anchor this fund as its largest investors. The fund will invest exclusively in follow-on rounds of breakout companies from its seed portfolio. “With the Titan Capital Winners Fund, we can more significantly support the founders of our portfolio companies in subsequent rounds of capital raises, further strengthening Titan Capital’s partnership with them,” Bahl and Bansal said in a joint press release. The Titan Capital Winners Fund focuses on tech-enabled businesses led by founders and management teams building category creators. The fundraise was completed in less than six months and the fund’s LPs include prominent family offices, CEOs and founders of leading companies, and key figures from the VC landscape. Titan Capital said that a select number of LPs are expected to be added via the optional greenshoe. In addition to Bahl and Bansal, the Winners Fund is managed by a team including Chetan Rana, who is serving as the chief financial officer (CFO). Titan Capital has backed more than 250 companies since 2011. Some of its seed investment portfolio includes Urban Company, MamaEarth, OfBusiness, Razorpay, Unicommerce, and Ola Cabs. Through the fund, Bahl and Bansal also made hefty exits from Urban Company, MamaEarth, Ola and Credgenics. For context, they had invested Rs 57 lakh total in Urban Company’s early funding rounds and recently took complete exit with Rs 111 crore. In Ola, their original investment was to the tune of $60,000 while the SoftBank-backed company reached its peak valuation of $7.3 billion in 2021 when they exited fully. E-commerce SaaS platform Unicommerce, which also comes under the umbrella of Snapdeal owner AceVector, went public. It was one of the profitable startups to get listed on the stock exchange.
