Elon Musk's xAI and Mark Zuckerberg's Meta are reportedly competing to partner with Character.AI, a startup backed by Andreessen Horowitz. Character.AI allows users to create AI characters that act as chatbots. Both companies have had exploratory talks with Character.AI about collaborating on initiatives, including pre-training and AI model development.
