Co-living startup Truliv raises strategic investment from BCCL Co-living startup Truliv has entered into a strategic equity partnership with Bennett, Coleman and Company Limited (BCCL) at a valuation of Rs 356.50 crore. The Chennai-based company had earlier raised 2.1 million US dollars in a seed funding round from DRA Homes and other investors. According to a press release, the fresh funds will be used to expand Truliv’s footprint into new cities, strengthen its technology platforms, and build out the next set of alternate asset classes in hospitality including holiday homes and retirement living. Founded in 2019 by Rohit Reddy and Ranjeeth Rathod, Truliv is a subsidiary of DRA and is focused on transforming the alternate asset class hospitality sector in India. The company aims to deliver impactful and future-ready living solutions that cater to the evolving needs of diverse demographic segments. Operating through a built-to-suit, asset-light model, Truliv says its approach blends real estate efficiency with hospitality finesse. Its high occupancy properties serve the growing base of mobile professionals, digital nomads, and young urban migrants in India. Truliv currently operates in the holiday homes segment as its second asset class, with several more offerings under development. Its upcoming portfolio includes student housing, retirement communities, and nature-centric living solutions. Each offering is designed to redefine residential experiences through innovation, quality, and lifestyle integration. With plans to scale into new cities and diversify into emerging segments like holiday homes, retirement living, and nature-centric stays, the company is projected to generate Rs 200 crore in annual revenue within the next three years.

Milky Mist posts Rs 2,349 Cr revenue in FY25, profit jumps over 2.4X Dairy company Milky Mist has filed its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities Exchange Board of India to raise up to Rs 2,035 crore through an initial public offering (IPO). The company's financial report for FY25 indicates a 2.4X spike in its profit with a decent growth in revenue. Milky Mist’s revenue from operations grew 29% to Rs 2,349 crore in FY25 from Rs 1,822 crore in FY24, according to its restated financial statement sourced from the DRHP. Paneer remained Milky Mist’s top-selling product in FY25 with Rs 694 crore in revenue, followed by cheese at Rs 408 crore and curd at Rs 370 crore. Ice cream emerged as the fastest-growing segment with a 294% jump to Rs 138 crore, while other products like ghee, milk, and beverages brought in Rs 739.5 crore. Regionally, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu led the charts with nearly equal contributions, while West India (Rs 418 crore) and North-Central India (Rs 116 crore) posted the highest growth at 49% and 55%, respectively. Export revenue also surged 43% to Rs 88.5 crore. On the expense front, the cost of materials continued to be the biggest outlay, growing 24% to Rs 1,553 crore in FY25. Employee benefit expenses rose to Rs 145 crore, while depreciation and finance costs increased to Rs 136 crore and Rs 86 crore, respectively. Notably, selling and distribution costs jumped over 134% to Rs 122 crore. Overall, total expenses increased 27% to Rs 2,267 crore in FY25 from Rs 1,784 crore a year earlier. Milky Mist ended the year with a return to strong profitability, with a spike of 2.4X to Rs 46 crore in FY25 from Rs 19 crore in FY24. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin stood at 11.57% and 13.14% respectively. The company spent Rs 0.96 to earn a rupee of operating revenue in FY25. The company reported current assets worth Rs 419 crore, including Rs 21 crore in cash and bank balance. As per the DRHP, Anitha S is the largest shareholder with a 51.45% stake in Milky Mist, followed by T. Sathishkumar who owns 40.94%. Aquarius Family Private Trust and Taurus Family Private Trust hold 2.5% each in the company. JM Financial, Axis Capital, and IIFL Securities are the book-running lead managers for the IPO.

Fintech firm Paytm announced its financial results for the third quarter of the current fiscal year (Q3 FY25) on Monday. The Noida-based company reported revenue of Rs 1,828 crore and a net loss of Rs 208 crore for the period. According to Paytm’s unaudited consolidated quarterly report filed with the National Stock Exchange, its revenue from operations declined by 35.9% year-on-year from Rs 2,850 crore in Q3 FY24 to Rs 1,828 crore in Q3 FY25. However, on a quarter-on-quarter basis, the firm recorded a 10% increase in revenue compared to Q2 FY25 (the preceding quarter). Income from payment service revenue accounted for 55% of the total operating revenue which stood at Rs 1,003 crore in Q3 FY25 while the revenue from financial and marketing services were recorded at Rs 502 crore and Rs 267 crore in the same period. The company also added Rs 189 crore from other non-operating sources, bringing its overall revenue to Rs 2016.5 crore in Q3 FY25. For the fintech firm, its employee benefits remained the largest cost center accounting for 34% of the overall cost which decreased by 36% to Rs 756 crore in Q3 FY25. This includes Rs 182 crore as ESOP cost (non-cash). Its payment processing charges and marketing costs were reduced by 42% and 48.7% to Rs 570 crore and Rs 141 crore respectively in Q3 FY25 from Rs 982 crore and Rs 275 crore in Q3 FY24. Software, communication, legal, cashback, and other overheads took the total expenditure to Rs 2,220 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 3,216 crore in Q3 FY24. A reduction across all overhead departments enabled Paytm to narrow its losses by 6.3% to Rs 208 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 222 crore in Q3 FY24.

Foodtech and quick commerce platform Zomato on Thursday released its financial results for the first quarter of the ongoing fiscal year (Q1 FY25). The Gurugram-based company has reported around an 18.1% increase in revenue with a 44.6% growth in profits. Zomato’s revenue from operations grew to Rs 4,206 crore in Q1 FY25 as compared to Rs 3,562 crore in Q4 FY24, its consolidated financial results sourced from the National Stock Exchange (NSE) show. Zomato’s food and delivery biz accounted for 46.17% of the total collection in Q1 FY25 which grew 11.7% to Rs 1,942 crore in Q1 FY25. The revenue from Hyperpure supplies (B2B) and quick commerce vertical (Blinkit) grew 27.4% and 22.5% to Rs 1,212 crore and Rs 942 crore, respectively. Income from “going-out” and other non-operating income took Zomato Group’s overall revenue to Rs 4,442 crore in Q1 FY25. Being a food tech major, the cost for delivery and related charges formed 31.6% of the overall expenditure which increased 18.8% to Rs 1,328 crore in Q1 FY25. The firm’s spending on procurement, employee benefits, advertising, and marketing pushed its overall expenditure to Rs crore 4,203 in Q1FY25 from Rs 3,636 crore in Q4FY24. A stellar growth in scale allowed Zomato to record a 44.6% spike in its profits to Rs 253 crore in Q1 FY25 from Rs 175 crore in Q4 FY24. On a unit level, the company spent Rs 0.99 to earn a rupee in Q1 FY25. With the consistent gain in its market cap, the food tech firm also rewarded its employees with an additional ESOP plan of $458 million. Zomato’s initial public offering opened at Rs 115, a 51% increase from its price band of Rs 76. The company’s current share price is Rs 237.9 (as of 03.40 PM), with a total market capitalization of over $25 billion, which led to Deepinder Goyal becoming a billionaire last month.

Ola Electric’s revenue from operations decreased to Rs 611 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 1,598 crore in Q4 FY24, its consolidated financial statements sourced from the National Stock Exchange show. For the full fiscal year (FY25), Ola Electric’s operating revenue decreased 10% to Rs 4,514 crore in FY25 from Rs 5,010 crore in FY24. Income from the sale of electric scooters was the sole source of revenue for Ola Electric while the collection from the sale of batteries contributed only a small portion in the last quarter of the previous fiscal year. For the EV scooter maker, material procurement made up 33% of the total costs at Rs 527 crore in Q4 FY25. Other major expenses included employee benefits, advertising, and technical support, pushing the total quarterly burn to Rs 1,598 crore. For the full fiscal year ending March 2025, total expenses rose to Rs 7,185 crore. A higher decline in sales caused Ola Electric's losses to rise by 106% in Q4 FY25, reaching Rs 862 crore compared to Rs 418 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year (Q4 FY24). For FY25, the firm’s losses stood at Rs 2,276 crore in FY25, up from Rs 1,584 crore in FY24. Recently, Ola Electric Mobility has approved a plan to raise up to Rs 1,700 crore through debt instruments. The Bhavish Aggarwal-led company secured the second position in the electric two-wheeler segment in April, with TVS Motor emerging as the market leader. For the first time, Ather Energy has surpassed Ola Electric in quarterly revenue. In Q4 FY25, Ather reported an operating revenue of Rs 676 crore, ahead of Ola Electric’s Rs 611 crore. At the close of today's trading session, Ola Electric's stock was priced at Rs 53.20, giving the company a market capitalization of Rs 23,465 crore.

Logistics company Delhivery is turning around the table by registering notable profits during the quarter ending June 2025, with a scale crossing Rs 2,100 crore in the same period (Q1 FY25). Delhivery’s operating revenue grew 4.6% to Rs 2,172 crore in Q1 FY25 from Rs 2,076 crore in Q4 FY24, according to the company’s unaudited consolidated quarterly report filed with the National Stock Exchange. Logistics services including (warehousing, last mile logistics, designing and deploying logistics management systems) were the primary sources of revenue for Delhivery. The Gurugram-based company added another Rs 110 crore from financial sources tallying the overall income to Rs 2,282 crore in Q1 FY25 from Rs 2,195 crore in Q4 FY24. For the logistics firm Delhivery, the cost of freight and handling formed 71% of its overall expenditure. To the tune of scale, this cost grew 4% to Rs 1,579 crore in Q1 FY25 from Rs 1,519 crore in Q4 FY24. The firm spending on employee benefits, advertising, finance, legal, and other expenditures took the overall expenditure to Rs 2,223 crore in Q1 FY25 compared to Rs 2257 crore in Q4 FY24. The continued growth in scale and reduction in total cost enabled Delhivery to turn black with Rs 52 crore in profits in Q1 FY24 as compared to Rs 68 crore loss in Q4 FY24. On a unit level, the firm spent Rs 1.02 to earn a rupee in Q1 FY25. Delhivery has also granted 1,66,122 employee stock options under its existing ESOP Plan 2012, tallying its total ESOP pool to 1.73 million, according to a different disclosure filed by Delhivery through NSE. Delhivery’s share price is currently at Rs 414.4 (as of August 2) and its total market capitalization stood at Rs 30,632 crore or $3.6 billion.

However, despite the strong topline growth, the company’s losses widened 26% in FY25. Smartworks’ revenue from operations increased by 32% to Rs 1374 crore in FY25 from Rs 1039 crore in FY24, according to its financial statement sourced from RHP. SmartWorks provides flexible office space for large enterprises, SMEs, and high-growth startups and leverages its robust phygital platform to deliver fully serviced, tech-enabled, flexible, and affordable workspaces. Lease rentals accounted for over 93% of its operating revenue, which rose by 29% to Rs 1,289 crore in FY25. Other sources included design and fit-out services at Rs 35 crore, ancillary services at Rs 49 crore, and a marginal Rs 1 crore from software fees. Smartworks added another Rs 36 crore from non-operating sources, which pushed its total revenue to Rs 1410 crore in FY25. On the expense side, the largest cost head was depreciation, which increased 35% to Rs 636 crore, followed by operating expenses of Rs 416 crore. Finance costs remained relatively stable at Rs 336 crore, while employee benefit expenses rose to Rs 65 crore. Overall, total expenses increased by 26% to Rs 1,489 crore in FY25 from Rs 1,180 crore in FY24. Despite revenue growth, the company’s loss increased by 26% to Rs 63 crore in FY25 as compared to Rs 50 crore in FY24. However, the company reported a positive EBITDA of Rs 893 crore in FY25 with an EBITDA margin of 63.3% and ROCE of 7.48%. On a unit level, Smartworks spent Rs 1.08 to earn a rupee of operating revenue in FY25, marginally better than the previous year’s ratio of Rs 1.14. The Gurugram-based company reported current assets worth Rs 255 crore in FY25, including Rs 69 crore in cash and bank balances. Smartworks is heading to the public markets with its Rs 583 crore IPO opening on July 10 and closing on July 14, 2025. The company has set a price band of Rs 387 to Rs 407 per share with a lot size of 36 shares, requiring a minimum investment of Rs 14,652 for retail investors.

Business-focused travel distribution platform Travel Boutique Online (TBO) has recorded a 21% year-on-year increase in its revenue while its profits grew 28.3% during the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year (FY25). TBO’s operating revenue increased to Rs 446 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 369 crore in Q3 FY24, its consolidated financial statements sourced from the National Stock Exchange (NSE) show. Income from the booking of hotels and packages accounted for 80% of TBO’s revenue, which increased to Rs 357 crore in Q4 FY25. Meanwhile, income from air ticketing and other allied services brought Rs 79 crore and Rs 10 crore to the firm’s coffers. Hotels and packages, as the top revenue source, made service fees the largest cost center, accounting for 33.75% of total expenditure or Rs 135 crore in Q4 FY25. Employee benefits were Rs 99 crore in the same quarter. Overall, total costs rose to Rs 400 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 325 crore in Q4 FY24. The decent surge in scale and controlled expenditure led TBO to post a 28.3% YOY increase in its profits after tax to Rs 59 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 46 crore in Q4 FY24. However, for the full fiscal year, it posted a 15% YoY increase in PAT to Rs 230 crore in the previous fiscal (FY25). At the end of today’s (Thursday, May 22) trading session, TBO Tek saw around a 3% decrease in its stock, which stood at Rs 1,197 with a total market capitalization of Rs 13,005 crore or ($1.53 billion).
