DPIIT ties up with Johnson Controls-Hitachi to launch startup incubator

- DPIIT and Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Limited have signed an MoU to establish a startup incubator in Gujarat. - The incubator will support manufacturing-focused startups in select sectors, promoting technological advancements and energy efficiency. - Startups will have access to R&D, prototyping, testing processes, and support for product development and commercialization. - Mentorship and guidance on concept-to-prototype development, viability assessment, go-to-market strategies, and potential funding needs will be provided. - Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning is a joint venture between Johnson Controls and Hitachi Global Life Solutions. - The company reported a decline in net profit for the June quarter but witnessed a significant increase in revenue from operations.
