According to CarDekho, growth was driven by steady performance across its diversified businesses, including auto classifieds, fintech, shared mobility, insurance, and international operations. The company’s fleet management arm Carrum emerged as a key growth driver during the year, while the core standalone business continued to post profitability. Despite the topline growth, CarDekho’s consolidated losses narrowed marginally to Rs 266 crore in FY25 from Rs 276 crore a year earlier, excluding exceptional items and share of losses in associates. The company attributed the losses largely to continued investments and growth-stage losses in its insurance and Southeast Asia businesses. As of March 2025, CarDekho Group held net cash reserves of Rs 1,177 crore. On a standalone basis, which houses the flagship auto classifieds and financing operations, the company remained profitable for the second consecutive year. As per the press release, Standalone revenue crossed the Rs 1,000 crore mark in FY25, while profitability from the auto classifieds segment rose 60%. During FY25, CarDekho’s fintech arm Rupyy facilitated loan disbursements worth approximately Rs 16,000 crore across used cars, new cars, commercial vehicles, and personal loans. Notably, the new car financing segment nearly doubled, recording 97% growth. Rupyy now services over 95% of India’s pin codes, the press release added. The group’s fleet management business, Carrum, in which CarDekho invested early in FY25, scaled rapidly during the year. Carrum partnered with Uber to manage Uber Black fleets in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai and expanded operations to all major Tier-1 cities, managing over 1,500 vehicles. As per the company, its shared mobility subsidiary Revv, acquired in FY24, reported 40% year-on-year growth. The business expanded to 16 cities with a fleet of more than 1,300 cars and served over 65,000 customers during the year. InsuranceDekho also continued its expansion, operating in over 1,500 cities and covering 98% of India’s pin codes. Internationally, CarDekho expanded its auto classifieds and financing presence across Southeast Asia and entered the Middle East markets of the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Founded in 2008 by Amit Jain and Anurag Jain, CarDekho Group operates platforms across auto classifieds, fintech, shared mobility, education, and insurance, and is backed by investors including Peak XV, CapitalG, Hillhouse Capital, and Advent. CarDekho was recently in talks with CarTrade on a potential merger that could have created one of India’s largest auto-tech platforms. However, the two companies have officially called off the proposed consolidation.

MediBuddy, a digital healthcare platform, provides online and offline medical consultations, medicine delivery, lab tests, surgeries, and insurance services, with revenue from these forming the primary source of income at Rs 722 crore, supplemented by Rs 2.5 crore from other operating sources. The company also earned Rs 18.42 crore from non-operating sources, including interest on fixed deposits and current investments, written-off liabilities, and other miscellaneous income, pushing its total income to Rs 743 crore in FY25. On expenses, the cost of materials was the largest at 38% of total expenses, standing at Rs 333 crore. Employee benefits expenses rose marginally by 8% to Rs 176.8 crore, including Rs 6 crore in ESOP expenses. Sales payout expenses, including commissions to selling agents, fell 7% to Rs 155.47 crore. The company spent Rs 42.5 crore on safety and security and Rs 32.5 crore on IT. Other overheads, including legal and professional fees, advertising, depreciation and amortization, and finance costs, amounted to Rs 138.7 crore. Overall expenses for the Bengaluru-based firm remained flat at Rs 879 crore, with controlled expenditure and a 12% rise in revenue helping to narrow losses by 37% to Rs 137 crore from Rs 215.7 crore in FY24. On a unit basis, MediBuddy spent Rs 1.21 to earn one rupee of operating revenue, with its EBITDA margin improving to -14.19% in FY25 from -25.67% in the previous year, resulting in an EBITDA loss of Rs 103 crore. As of March 2024, MediBuddy's current assets were Rs 395.2 crore, including cash and bank balances of Rs 80 crore. MediBuddy has raised over $190 million to date, last raising $18 million in August 2023 from existing investors Quadria Capital, Lightrock, and TEAMFund. It competes with companies including Pristyn Care-owned Lybrate, Practo, and mFine Tata 1mg.

Fintech firm Paytm announced its financial results for the third quarter of the current fiscal year (Q3 FY25) on Monday. The Noida-based company reported revenue of Rs 1,828 crore and a net loss of Rs 208 crore for the period. According to Paytm’s unaudited consolidated quarterly report filed with the National Stock Exchange, its revenue from operations declined by 35.9% year-on-year from Rs 2,850 crore in Q3 FY24 to Rs 1,828 crore in Q3 FY25. However, on a quarter-on-quarter basis, the firm recorded a 10% increase in revenue compared to Q2 FY25 (the preceding quarter). Income from payment service revenue accounted for 55% of the total operating revenue which stood at Rs 1,003 crore in Q3 FY25 while the revenue from financial and marketing services were recorded at Rs 502 crore and Rs 267 crore in the same period. The company also added Rs 189 crore from other non-operating sources, bringing its overall revenue to Rs 2016.5 crore in Q3 FY25. For the fintech firm, its employee benefits remained the largest cost center accounting for 34% of the overall cost which decreased by 36% to Rs 756 crore in Q3 FY25. This includes Rs 182 crore as ESOP cost (non-cash). Its payment processing charges and marketing costs were reduced by 42% and 48.7% to Rs 570 crore and Rs 141 crore respectively in Q3 FY25 from Rs 982 crore and Rs 275 crore in Q3 FY24. Software, communication, legal, cashback, and other overheads took the total expenditure to Rs 2,220 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 3,216 crore in Q3 FY24. A reduction across all overhead departments enabled Paytm to narrow its losses by 6.3% to Rs 208 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 222 crore in Q3 FY24.

The company said it diagnosed over 2.5 million cases last fiscal and continues to focus on expanding in underserved regions, with more than 70% of its testing volumes now coming from Tier II cities and beyond. On the profitability front, Redcliffe reported a gross margin of 70% in FY25 and is aiming to expand it to 74% in FY26. It has also set a revenue target of Rs 560 crore for the ongoing fiscal through organic growth and strategic acquisitions. “We are transforming lives and making diagnostics a first-line solution for millions who were previously underserved,” said Kandoi. The company plans to expand its presence to over 300 cities with 150 labs by FY28. According to startup data platform TheKredible, Redcliffe has raised $113 million to date, including a $42 million Series C round led by LeapFrog. It also acquired Bengaluru-based Celara Diagnostics in a $7 million deal. Redcliffe competes with players like PharmEasy-owned Thyrocare, Tata 1mg, and Healthians.

Including other income of Rs 16 crore, Ampere’s total income rose to Rs 675 crore in FY25, compared to Rs 641 crore a year earlier. On the spending side, the cost of material accounted for 64% of the total expense. This cost rose 12% to Rs 589 crore in FY25 from Rs 527 crore in FY24. Employee benefit expenses declined 22% to Rs 79 crore, while advertising and promotional spends jumped 30% to Rs 43 crore during the year. Depreciation expenses climbed 41% to Rs 45 crore in FY25 from Rs 32 crore in FY24. Other overheads, including warranty claims, finance costs, and miscellaneous expenses, added another Rs 205 crore in FY25. Overall, total expenses increased 7% to Rs 918 crore in FY25 from Rs 857 crore in FY24. Ampere managed to cut its losses by 65% to Rs 240 crore in FY25 from Rs 691.5 crore in FY24. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin improved to -85.27% and -30.50%, respectively. On a unit basis, Ampere spent Rs 1.39 to earn every rupee of operating revenue during the year, marginally better than Rs 1.40 in FY24. As of March 2025, the company reported cash and bank balances of Rs 25 crore, while its current assets stood at Rs 263 crore. In terms of E2W sales for December, Greaves Electric Mobility retained its sixth position and sold 4,335 units with a market share of 4.66%. In comparison, the segment’s leader TVS sold 24,317 units with a market share of 26.14%. In December 2024, Ampere’s parent Greaves Electric filed its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with the Security Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for an initial public offering (IPO) to raise funds through a fresh issue of equity shares aggregating up to Rs 1,000 crore (approximately $119 million) and an offer for sale (OFS) of up to 18.94 crore equity shares. The firm also received a final nod from SEBI for the proposed IPO.

B2B e-commerce unicorn Zetwerk, which is reportedly preparing to file for an initial public offering (IPO), saw its revenue decline in FY25. Despite the slowdown in the top line, the company managed to reduce its losses during the same period. Zetwerk’s gross revenue fell 11% to Rs 12,798 crore in FY25 from Rs 14,443 crore in FY24, according to its consolidated financial statements sourced from the Registrar of Companies (RoC). Zetwerk is a B2B manufacturing and construction marketplace. The company derives its revenue primarily from trading activities, manufacturing services, and construction and project contracts. Revenue from trading activities, which accounted for 58% of the income, declined 20% to Rs 7,706 crore in FY25. In contrast, revenue from manufacturing services grew 33.5% to Rs 2,682 crore. Income from construction and project contracts slipped 19% to Rs 2,242 crore, while other income stood at Rs 535 crore in FY25. Including non-operating income, Zetwerk’s total income stood at Rs 12,981 crore in FY25, compared to Rs 14,612 crore in FY24. On the expense side, the cost of materials accounted for over 85% of the total expense. This cost declined 17% to Rs 11,232 crore in FY25 from Rs 13,467 crore in FY24. Employee benefit expenses, however, rose 12% to Rs 517 crore, while subcontracting expenses increased 16% to Rs 250 crore. Finance costs remained largely flat at Rs 450 crore, and other expenses added another Rs 670 crore during the year. Overall, Zetwerk reduced its total expenses by 12% to Rs 13,196 crore in FY25 from Rs 15,001 crore in FY24. As a result, its expense-to-revenue ratio improved marginally to 1.03 from 1.04 a year earlier. With GMV declining, procurement costs came down accordingly, and coupled with a sharp drop in exceptional items, the company reduced its losses by 60% to Rs 371 crore in FY25 from Rs 918 crore in FY24. However, the company posted a positive EBITDA of Rs 145 crore in the same period. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin improved to -0.68% and 1.13% respectively. On the balance sheet front, Zetwerk’s cash and bank balances rose sharply to Rs 1,908 crore in FY25 from Rs 1,150 crore a year earlier. The company reported current assets worth Rs 7,840 crore in the same period. According to TheKredible, Zetwerk has raised a total of $889 million of funding till date, having Greenoaks, Peak XV Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners and Accel as its lead investors. In April last year, Zetwerk had indicated that it was targeting a public listing within a 12 to 24 month period. The company is expected to file its draft prospectus this year through the confidential route for its $750 million IPO, which would be among the larger public market debuts by an India-based manufacturing company.

When it comes to expenses, the firm incurred finance costs of Rs 44 lakh in FY25 which reduced by 50% from Rs 83 lakh in FY24. Depreciation and amortization rose marginally to Rs 34.5 crore. Notably, OneAssist didn’t disclose much information in the expense breakup beyond these figures. Overall, the firm’s total expenses rose by 21% to Rs 652 crore in FY25 compared to Rs 538 crore in FY24. OneAssist reported a net loss of Rs 11 crore in FY25, a 56% reduction from loss of Rs 25 crore in FY24. However the company reported a positive EBITDA of Rs 26 crore for the year with EBITDA margin of 4.10%. On a per-unit basis, the firm spent Rs 1.05 to earn a rupee in FY25, compared to Rs 1.06 in FY24, meanwhile its ROCE stood at -8.64%. The Mumbai-based company recorded current assets worth Rs 496 crore in FY25, which includes Rs 134 crore in cash and bank balances. Built around the same model as CPP India, the British owned firm where Gagan Maini was the CEO earlier, the firm has comfortably outpaced its ‘parent’, and in fact might be a top prospect to take over CPP India’s operations, which have been up for sale by the British parent. According to TheKredible, Peak XV (formerly Sequoia Capital) holds the largest stake in the company, owning nearly 29%. The company's co-founders, Subrat Pani and Gagan Maini, collectively own 12.32%.

Smartworks generated most of its revenue from developing, designing, and licensing serviced office spaces and fit-out services, with additional income from other ancillary offerings. It also booked Rs 16 crore from non-operating activities, pushing total income to Rs 441 crore in the quarter, compared to Rs 361 crore in Q2FY25. On a half-yearly basis, revenue was up nearly 21% to Rs 804 crore in H1 FY26 from Rs 664 crore in H1 FY25. On the cost front, depreciation remained the largest expense at Rs 198 crore, followed by operating expenses of Rs 122 crore. Finance costs, employee benefits, and marketing took the total expenditure to Rs 445 crore, compared to Rs 382 crore in the same quarter last year. The decent growth in scale and cost control mechanisms helped the firm narrow its net loss to Rs 3 crore in Q2 FY26 from Rs 16 crore a year ago. For the six months ended September 2025, its losses were down by 82% to Rs 7 crore in H1 FY26 from Rs 39 crore in H1 FY25. Smartworks listed on the NSE earlier this year at Rs 435 per share, a 7% premium to its IPO price of Rs 407. The stock closed today at Rs 596, valuing the company at Rs 6,818 crore (approximately $769 million). Smartworks competes with Awfis, which went public in May 2024 and currently trades at Rs 595. Awfis posted Rs 355 crore in revenue and Rs 10 crore in net profit in Q1 FY26. The company is yet to file its return for the second quarter.

The segment's gross order value (GOV) growth was driven by an increase in order frequency and the addition of new dark stores. Scootsy Logistics contributed a major 45% of Swiggy’s overall operating collection. Income from this entity increased by 58% YoY to Rs 2,004 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 1,265 crore in Q4 FY24. During the last quarter, Swiggy invested Rs 1,000 crore in Scootsy to support expansion and growth. Swiggy’s Dine Out, Genie, Swiggy Mini, and other non-operating income took its total revenue to Rs 4,531 crore in Q4 FY25. For the full fiscal year ending March 2025, Swiggy’s revenue rose 35% to Rs 15,227 crore in FY25 from Rs 11,247 crore in FY24. On the cost side, the procurement of FMCG products for supply chain distribution formed 33% of its overall cost which increased by 52% to Rs 1,854 crore in Q4 FY25. Meanwhile, the delivery charges saw 27% growth to Rs 1,161 crore in Q4 FY25. Swiggy spent Rs 695 crore and Rs 978 crore on employee benefits and advertising, respectively. Overall, Swiggy’s total expenses for the quarter increased 53% to Rs 5,609 crore from Rs 3,668 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal-on-fiscal year basis, its total expenses increased to Rs 18,725 crore in the quarter ending March 2025 from Rs 13,947 crore in FY24. The 53% growth in expenditure led losses to increase by 95% to Rs 1,081 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 555 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal-on-fiscal basis, Swiggy’s losses spiked 33% to Rs 3,117 crore in FY25 from Rs 2,350 crore in FY24.
