BuzzFeed's President, Marcela Martin, has announced her resignation, effective January 12, to pursue other opportunities. The company does not plan to seek a replacement, with the president's responsibilities to be absorbed by the CEO and other executives. Martin's departure follows CFO Felicia DellaFortuna's exit in November but was not due to any disagreement with the company. BuzzFeed, which shuttered its news unit earlier this year, went public in 2021 but struggled to find a sustainable business model amid competition from social media platforms.

He criticized Harvard for not doing enough to combat antisemitism and for stifling meritocracy through diversity and inclusion programs. Google's attempts to downsize its workforce in South Korea are facing resistance from some employees who are refusing to resign. The tech giant, which has around 800 full-time employees in the country, has recommended that some employees resign, but Korean labor law makes it difficult to dismiss workers without just cause. A labor law firm stated that recommended resignation occurs when an employee resigns at an employer's suggestion, but employees often refuse due to the uncertainty and difficulty of finding new employment. Google has been making job cuts globally and has already laid off thousands of employees.
