Drone tech startups in India are hoping for a favorable budget that addresses their demands. They seek relaxed regulations and faster approval processes, particularly for urban air mobility solutions. Startups also desire an extension of the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for drones and lower interest rates for drone loans. Furthermore, the government is encouraged to promote the use of drones in agriculture by providing subsidies for training farmers and waiving GST on drones and related products. Defense drone startups are also seeking higher allocation for the development and deployment of advanced drones.
