Bill Gates lauds India's "unique effort" for women's empowerment with new alliance

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, along with other partners, has launched the Alliance for Global Good - Gender Equity and Equality in India. The alliance aims to promote women's empowerment and gender equality by focusing on issues of gender health, education, and enterprise. Supported by the Gates Foundation, the alliance will bring together global good practices, knowledge sharing, and investments in women's health, education, and enterprise. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will anchor the alliance, with the World Economic Forum as a network partner. Indian government and industry leaders have expressed their commitment to achieving gender equity and equality through this alliance.
