| 1mBig tech companies form new consortium to allay fears of AI job takeovers
A consortium of tech giants, including Cisco, Google, Microsoft, IBM, Intel, SAP, and Accenture, called the AI-Enabled ICT Workforce Consortium (ITC) is leading an effort to explore the impact of AI on jobs and promote reskilling and upskilling within the information and communication technology industry. The consortium plans to evaluate the impact of AI on specific job roles and provide training recommendations for affected roles. The first phase of its work will focus on 56 job roles within the ICT industry. The consortium intends to publish its findings in a report this summer.
