Edtech startup Beep raises $850K in pre-Series A round Edtech startup Beep has raised $850,000 in a pre-Series A funding round backed by Knowhere Ventures LLC, Pacific Global Solutions Limited, and LeadAngels FLV. The round also saw participation from angel investors Vipul Prakash (wowJobs) and Sandeep Johri (Checkmarx). With this round, Beep’s total funding to date stands at $1.5 million. The fresh capital will be used to scale its user base to 5 million, onboard 150 additional colleges over the next nine months, and expand industry-aligned programs. Founded in 2021 by Saurabh Mangrulkar, Rakhi Pal, and Yogesh Nogia, the Pune-based startup is building an AI-driven career platform for students and early-career professionals, with a focus on tier II and tier III cities. The platform currently runs over 28 live programs across design, certification, and internship tracks. Beep integrates career guidance, mentorship, structured learning programs, and AI-powered hiring tools. Its offerings include a career app for mentorship and job access, upskilling programs with placement support, UniBeep for institutional placement management, and BeepHire.ai for fresher recruitment. The startup claims to have enabled over 30,000 placements, internships, and gig opportunities so far. It reports a user base of over 6.5 million, partnerships with 1,500 colleges, and collaborations with 7,800 hiring companies.

The brand has also appeared on Shark Tank India Season 2, where they secured Rs 75 lacs from Aman Gupta and Peyush Bansal. The fresh funds will be used for R&D and product innovation, brand development & awareness, and business growth, Primebook said in a press release. Co-founded in 2018 by Aman Verma and Chitranshu Mahant, Primebook aims to democratize computing for students and digital-first learners. The brand combines hardware innovation with software intelligence to deliver smart, affordable, and student-centric laptops powered by its proprietary Android-based operating system, PrimeOS. The Delhi-based company says that its PrimeOS has been specifically created for learners and students for blended online education programs, making it simpler for students to use and comprehend. The laptop features Android app compatibility, enables simultaneous switching between apps, and is highly simple and effective to use for someone familiar with Android. According to Primebook, it primarily focuses on students, particularly in tier II, III, and IV cities, who may not have access to traditional laptops. Over two years, the brand claims that it has carved out a 5% market share in the under Rs 20,000 laptop segment, showing a YoY growth of 2x.

Sports-tech startup Gamepoint raises pre-Series A round Technology-enabled sports startup Gamepoint has raised Rs 7 crore in a pre-Series A funding round co-led by Zaggle founder Raj P Narayanam and Aditya Vuchi, along with participation from Praveen Raju and others. The proceeds will be used to expand its multi-sport center network and strengthen its technology and operational capabilities. Co-founded by Aditya and Siddharth Reddy, Gamepoint aims to provide convenient access to learn and play sports, operating professionally managed multi-sport centers for people of all age groups. The startup’s centers provide structured coaching programs for children, flexible membership and pay-and-play options for adults, and comprehensive sports event management solutions for corporates, delivered in a safe and hygienic environment. The Hyderabad-based startup’s centers feature international standard courts/fields, specialized coaching programs, membership plans, and on-site sports stores. It operates through a mix of owned and potentially franchised centers, targeting a "neighborhood sports center" model. Gamepoint operates a chain of multi-sport centers across Hyderabad and Warangal, featuring infrastructures for sports such as Badminton, Basketball, Pickleball, Squash, Football, Cricket, Table Tennis, and Swimming. Over the next five years, the company plans to scale to more than 300 centers across metros as well as Tier I and Tier II cities, enabling 1 crore people to play sports in India. To date, it claims to have trained over 12,000 students, enabled more than 3 lakh people to play sports, and organized more than 700 sports events. It directly or indirectly competes with other players in this space such as Premier Badminton Coaching Academy, Machaxi, KheloMore, Huddl, and others.
