Chemical major BASF has entered into an agreement with AM Green to explore opportunities in the low-carbon chemicals sector. BASF may purchase 100,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually from AM Green as part of the partnership. Both companies will conduct feasibility studies on low-carbon chemicals production in India and evaluate potential technologies. AM Green's ammonia plants are pre-certified for the European Union's renewable fuels standards, and the ammonia supplied to BASF would meet EU norms. BASF's 2023 sales were €68.9bn ($80.6bn).
