Capital G-backed microlending platform Aye (formerly Aye Finance) has filed its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with the Security Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for an initial public offering (IPO) on Monday. According to the DRHP, the company aims to raise a total of Rs 1,450 crore through its IPO. This includes a fresh issue of equity shares worth Rs 885 crore (approximately $105 million) and an offer for sale (OFS) amounting to Rs 565 crore (approximately $67 million). LGT Capital and Capital G will divest Rs 150 crore and 136.8 crore worth of shares in OFS (offer for sale), respectively, while A91 Fund and Alpha Wave will offload Rs 100 crore each in the secondary sale. MAJ Invest, along with Harleen Kaur Jetley and Vikram Jetley, will sell Rs 78 crore worth of shares at the same time. Notably, Elevation Capital, being the largest shareholder, is not participating in Aye Finance's offer for sale. The equity shares offered through the RHP are proposed to be listed on the BSE and NSE with the help of lead managers like Axis Capital, IIFL Capital, JM Financial, and Nuvama Wealth Management. Aye Finance offers three loan products with values ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,000,000: quasi-mortgage loans, hypothetical loans, and add-on loans. It operates across 398 locations in 22 states in India, providing financial services to micro and small enterprises, primarily in manufacturing, trading, and service industries. As per RHP, Elevation Capital (formerly SAIF Partners) is the largest external stakeholder with 16.19% followed by LGT Capital and Alpha Wave which hold 14.13% and 11.21%, respectively. Other notable investors include CapitalG at 10.26%, BII at 9.51%, and A91, which holds 9.23% in the company. During the previous fiscal year (FY24), Aye recorded a revenue of Rs 1,040 crore with profits standing at Rs 172 crore in the same period. Moreover, the first half of the ongoing fiscal year (H1FY25) has been impressive for the company, where it posted a revenue of Rs 692 crore with a profit of Rs 144 crore. The company ended FY24 with assets under management (AUM) of Rs 4,463 crore, while its AUM grew to Rs 4,980 crore H1FY25. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Aye Finance has raised Rs 2,610 crore (more than $300 million) in total funding including Rs 1,250 crore ($150 million) in equity. It competes with several NBFCs including Indifi, Axio (formerly Capital Float), Lendingkart, Flexiloans and others.

Microlending platform Aye Finance has raised Rs 250 crore ($30 million) in a Series G round led by Singapore’s ABC Impact. The round also saw participation from British International Investment, the UK’s development finance institution and impact investor which led Aye’s Series F round of Rs 310 crore ($37 million) in December 2023. In June this year, the company also raised $30 million in debt. This investment is the first from ABC Impact’s Fund II and boosts the firm’s assets under management (AUM) to over $850 million. The deal completion is subject to completion of standard conditions precedent. With this round, Aye’s equity raise totals Rs 1,250 crore ($150 million). With more than 398 locations operating in 22 states around India, Aye Finance offers financial services to micro and small enterprises, the majority of which are involved in manufacturing, trading, and service industries. Aye Finance offers three loan products with values ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,000,000: quasi-mortgage loans, hypothetical loans, and add-on loans. The firm claims that it has already extended over 7,600 crore ($915 million) in loans to more than 5,76,000 businesses with a 60% repeat rate. Aye Finance’s revenue from operations grew 44.5% to Rs 623 crore during FY23 with a profit of Rs 54 crore. In FY24, the company claims that its profit grew 3 times to Rs 161 crore and revenue was up 67% to Rs 1072 crore. The company ended FY24 with assets under management (AUM) of Rs 4,500 crore and a gross NPA of 1.21%. It competes with several NBFCs including Indifi, Axio (formerly Capital Float), Lendingkart, Flexiloans and others.

MapMyIndia posts Rs 140 Cr revenue in Q4 FY25, profit grows 29% CE Info Systems, the parent company of MapMyIndia, has announced its financial results for the fourth quarter of FY25. The company reported a year-on-year revenue growth of over 34% compared to Q4 FY24. MapMyIndia’s revenue from operations increased to Rs 143 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 107 crore in Q4 FY24. Meanwhile, for the full fiscal year, revenue increased by 22% to Rs 463 crore in FY25 from Rs 379 crore in FY24, according to its consolidated quarterly report. Income from digital map data, GPS navigation, location-based services, and IoT was the primary source of revenue for MapMyIndia, accounting for 88% of the total collection. This revenue source increased by 51% to Rs 127 crore in Q4 FY25. However, income from the sale of its devices generated Rs 16.5 crore in revenue. The cost of IoT devices, employee benefits, and outsourced technical services were the major cost elements, pushing the total cost of the firm to Rs 90 crore in Q4 FY25, up from Rs 72 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal basis, the total cost increased to Rs 306 crore in FY25. With the increase in scale, MapMyIndia recorded a 29% increase in its profit to Rs 49 crore during Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 38 crore in the fourth quarter of the previous fiscal year. Meanwhile, annual profit increased by 10% to Rs 148 crore in FY25, up from Rs 134 crore in FY24. At the end of the day on 9th May 2025, MapMyIndia closed at Rs 1,845 per share, with a market capitalization of Rs 10,040 crore ($1.17 billion).

Foodtech and quick commerce platform Zomato on Monday released its financial results for the fourth quarter of the ongoing fiscal year (Q4 FY24). With the steady expansion, the company has witnessed around 27% increase in its profit along with marginal growth in revenue. Zomato’s revenue from operations grew 8.3% to Rs 3,562 crore in Q4 FY24 in contrast to Rs 3,288 crore in Q3 FY24, as per the firm’s consolidated financial results sourced from the National Stock Exchange. With this, Zomato’s overall revenue for the fiscal year ending March 2024 jumped 71% to Rs 12,114 crore from Rs 7,079 in FY23. Zomato operates several business units including a food marketplace, Hyperpure and quick commerce platform BlinkIt. Income from food and delivery biz accounted for 48.8% in Q4 FY24 which grew 2.1% to Rs 1,739 in Q4 FY24 from Rs Rs 1,704 crore in Q3 FY24. The collections from Hyperpure supplies (B2B) and quick commerce vertical (Blinkit) grew 10.7% and 19.4% to Rs 951 crore and Rs 769 crore, respectively. Earning from “Going-out” and other non-operating income took Zomato Group’s overall revenue to Rs 3,797 crore in Q4 FY24. The cost for delivery and related charges formed 30.7% of the overall expenditure which increased 4.7% to Rs 1,118 crore in Q4 FY24. Its cost of procurement, employee benefits, advertising, and marketing pushed its overall expenditure to Rs 3,636 in Q4FY24 from Rs 3,382 in Q3FY24. The optimum cost mechanism and increased scale helped Zomato to record a 26.8% hike in its profits to Rs 175 in Q4 FY24 from Rs 138 crore in Q3 FY24. On a unit level, the Gurugram-based company spent Rs 1.02 to earn a rupee in Q4 FY24.

One97 Communication Private Limited, the parent company of Paytm, scaled 25% year-on-year during the fiscal year ending March 2024. The Noida-based firm, however, managed to maintain EBITDA profitability before ESOP throughout the last fiscal year (FY24). Paytm’s revenue from operations grew 25% to Rs 9,978 crore in FY24 from Rs 7,990 crore in FY23, its annual financial statements disclosed through the National Stock Exchange show. Income from payment services accounted for 62.48% of the total operating revenue, which grew 25% to Rs 6,235 crore in FY24. Meanwhile, income from financial services grew by 30% to Rs 2,004 crore. The remainder income came from marketing and other sources. Paytm also made Rs 547 crore from non-operating activities mainly from interest and gain on financial assets, tallying the total income to Rs 10,525 crore in the last fiscal year (FY24). To the tune of other technology firms, its employee benefits accounted for 39.4% of the overall expenditure. This cost surged 21.5% to Rs 4,589 crore in FY24 from Rs 3,778 crore in FY23. This includes Rs 1,466 crore as share-based payment aka ESOPs cost. Its payment processing charges grew 10.9% to Rs 3,280 crore in FY2. Paytm’s software/tech, marketing cum promotional, legal, and other overheads drove its total expenditure up by 15% to Rs 11,645 crore in FY24 from Rs 10,130 crore in FY23. Note: Paytm has booked Rs 1,465 crore of ESOPs and wrote off Rs 227 crore worth of investments which was made to its associate firm Paytm Payments Bank Ltd (PPBL) after RBI’s action. The decent growth and controlled expenditure helped Paytm to reduce its net losses by 20% to Rs 1,422 crore in FY24. Meanwhile, Paytm maintained its EBITDA profitability before ESOP throughout the year which stood at Rs 559 crore in FY24.

The Bengaluru-based company reported a 31% year-on-year growth in scale in Q4 FY25 and turned profitable, posting a profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 41 crore in the quarter. For the full fiscal year (FY25), Blackbuck’s operating revenue increased 44% to Rs 427 crore in FY25 from Rs 297 crore in FY24. Revenue from its truck operator services was the primary source of revenue, accounting for 98% of total operating revenue. The company also made Rs 15 crore from interest income which took its overall revenue to Rs 137 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 99 crore in Q4 FY24. For the full fiscal year, the firm’s total revenue stood at Rs 462 crore in FY25. Looking at the expenses, the employee benefit cost accounted for 35% of the overall expenditure which fell 74% year-on-year to Rs 33 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 128 crore in Q4 FY24. Depreciation and other operating expenses were key overheads that drove total expenditure to Rs 95 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 187 crore in the same quarter last year. For the fiscal year ending March 2025, the firm’s total expenses fell to Rs 371 crore as compared to Rs 483 crore in FY24. Blackbuck booked profit before tax of Rs 41 crore in Q4 FY25, as compared to a loss of Rs 87 crore in Q4 FY24. Meanwhile, for the full fiscal year ended March 2025, the company remained at a loss of Rs 283 crore (before tax), 69% more than Rs 167 crore in FY24. Blackbuck debuted on the stock exchange at Rs 208.90 and is now trading at Rs 459 on May 27, bringing its total market capitalization to Rs 8,180 crore.

CarTrade has released its financial results for the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year (Q4 FY25) on Wednesday. The company reported a 17% year-on-year revenue growth compared to Q4 FY24, with profit doubling in the same time period. CarTrade’s revenue from operations grew 17% to Rs 169 crore in Q4 FY25 in contrast to Rs 145 crore in Q4 FY24, as per the firm’s unaudited consolidated financial results sourced from the National Stock Exchange. For the full fiscal year ending March 2025, CarTrade’s revenue rose 31% to Rs 641 crore. Including other undisclosed income, its total income for Q4 FY25 grew to Rs 189 crore, up from Rs 161 crore in Q4 FY24. The Mumbai-based company operates in three segments: Consumer, Remarketing, and Classifieds. Income from the consumer segment formed 37% of the total operating revenue which increased to Rs 63 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 49 crore in Q4 FY24. Income from the remarketing and classified segment stood at Rs 59 crore and Rs 47 crore, respectively, in the fourth quarter of the ongoing fiscal year. During the full fiscal year (FY25), income from the consumer segment stood at Rs 238 crore, whereas collection from the remarketing and classified segment stood at Rs 212 crore and Rs 192 crore, respectively. On the expense front, employee benefits expenses formed 52% of the overall spending which went up a modest 6% to Rs 71 crore during the period. Including other costs, CarTrade’s overall expenses increased 4% to Rs 136 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 131 crore during Q4 FY24. On a fiscal-on-fiscal year basis, its overall expenses increased to Rs 543 crore in the last fiscal year from Rs 457 crore in FY24. The decent growth and controlled spending enabled CarTrade to double its net profit to Rs 46 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 23 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal basis, the company’s profit spiked to Rs 145 crore in FY25. CarTrade recorded a 5.8% hike in its share price today and is trading at Rs 1,721 (as of 12:50) with a total market capitalization of Rs 8,168 crore.
