CLR Facility Services raises $15 Mn from BII Integrated facility management company CLR Facility Services has raised $15 million (approximately Rs 125 crore) from British International Investment (BII), the UK’s development finance institution and impact investor. The proceeds will be used to support CLR’s expansion across India, scale its integrated facility management operations, invest in vocational training, and enhance ESG practices. Founded in Pune, CLR provides services such as cleaning, engineering, mechanical maintenance, and production support to corporate clients. It currently employs over 20,000 blue-collar workers and operates across nine states. “This investment will empower us to create more opportunities for our workforce, drive innovation in facility management, and extend our impact across new markets,” said Gaurav Pathak and Gautam Pathak, promoters and directors of CLR Facility Services. The company plans to more than double its workforce to 50,000 in the next five to seven years, with a focus on employing more women and individuals from underserved communities. It will also build training centres in tier-II cities to skill untrained and semi-skilled workers. CLR is known for its structured skilling and employment model, with 25% of its workforce being women. In 2018, it received its first institutional investment from First Bridge Investment Managers. The company serves over 160 clients and competes with players such as BVG India, UDS, and ISS Facility Services in the facility management space.

Awfis posts Rs 318 Cr revenue and Rs 15 profits in Q3 FY25 Co-working solutions provider Awfis has recorded a 44% year-on-year growth in its scale during the third quarter of the ongoing fiscal year. Moreover, the profits for the Delhi-based startup stood at Rs 15.1 crore in the same period. Awfis’ revenue increased to Rs 318 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 221 crore in Q3 FY24, as per its unaudited consolidated financial statements filed with the National Stock Exchange (NSE). Founded in 2015, Awfis offers customized office spaces for startups, SMEs, and large corporations, including ancillary services like food and beverages, IT support, and infrastructure services. Income from co-working space rentals and allied services formed 76.7% of the total operating revenue, which grew by 52.5% to Rs 244 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 160 crore in Q3 FY24. Income from construction and fit-out projects, facility management, and the sale of food items were other revenue drivers for Awfis. The company posted revenue of Rs 868 crore in the first nine months of the ongoing fiscal year, with a positive bottom line standing at Rs 56.6 crore. Awfis’ total expenses increased by 36.6% year-on-year to Rs 317 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 232 crore in Q3 FY24. Subcontracting costs and the purchase of traded goods accounted for 22% of the total expenses. Employee benefits, depreciation, amortization, and finance costs were some other major expenses for the 10-year-old company. The 44% YoY growth helped Awfis register a profit of Rs 15.1 crore in Q3 FY25, compared to a loss of Rs 6.2 crore in Q3 FY24. On a sequential basis, Awfis recorded a profit of Rs 38.6 crore in the second quarter of the ongoing fiscal year. Awfis ended the day at Rs 664 per share, reflecting a 3.36% decline from its opening price. The company's total market capitalization stood at Rs 4,702 crore (approximately $559 million). Co-working solutions provider Awfis showcased a 55.8% growth in scale during the fiscal year ending March 2024. However, the losses for the Amit Ramani-led firm contracted 61.8% to Rs 17.8 crore in FY24. On a year-on-year basis, Awfis’ revenue from operations grew 55.8% to Rs 849 crore in FY24 from Rs 545 crore in FY23, its consolidated financial statements disclosed in the stock exchange filing show. On a sequential basis, the firm posted a 5% increase in revenue to Rs 232 crore in Q4 FY24 from Rs 221 crore in Q3 FY24. Founded in 2015, Awfis offers customized office spaces for startups, SMEs, and large corporations including ancillary services like food and beverages, IT support, and infrastructure services among others. Its finance, legal, depreciation and amortization, purchase of traded goods, and other overheads took the overall expenditure up by 45.8% to Rs 892 crore in FY24 from Rs 612 crore in FY23. The 55.8% surge in scale and controlled cost mechanism helped Awfis to contract its losses by 61.8% to a marginal Rs 17.8 in FY24 from Rs 46.6 crore in FY23. On a unit level, it spent Rs 1.05 to earn a rupee in FY24. The company’s stock was listed on NSE on May 30 and opened at Rs 435 with a 13.58% premium over the issue price of Rs 383. The improvement in the fundamentals pushed its share price to Rs 500.1 (as of June 19). Awfis currently holds a total market capitalization of Rs 3,472 crore.
