Auxano Capital clocks 5.5X return on EduGorilla exit Auxano Capital, a SEBI-registered venture capital firm, has exited test-prep and edtech platform EduGorilla Community, delivering a 5.5X return on invested capital. Auxano had first backed EduGorilla in 2020 during its maiden institutional round, after the company had raised from angels. Since then, the Lucknow-based startup has scaled its revenues 50X, secured six patents, expanded into SaaS for B2B players in 2022, and recently rolled out a GenAI-powered product that counts global large language model developers among clients. “The space became crowded which impacted growth potential, but the founders’ hustle never dimmed. From the fund’s perspective, a part exit has been executed. We see greater potential ahead and continue to ride the growth wave,” said Brijesh Damodaran, managing partner at Auxano Capital. This marks Auxano’s fifth successful exit, including three this year. The firm partially exited Primebook earlier in 2025 and fully exited Wiom. Founded in 2016, Auxano Capital manages a portfolio of over 35 companies across sectors such as Industry 4.0, fintech, sustainability, distribution enablement, and enterprise solutions.

Wiom, originally founded in 2015 as i2e1 and rebranded in 2021, has grown into India’s largest licensed Public Data Office Aggregator (PDOA) under the Government’s PM-WANI framework. It operates an asset-light model by aggregating surplus bandwidth from local cable operators and reselling it through its proprietary router software and centralized backend. This allows the company to offer affordable internet access in areas where traditional broadband rollout is cost-prohibitive. Auxano had first backed Wiom in 2017 and followed up with another round in 2021. It actively supported the company through strategic and operational pivots. The firm focuses on investing in early-stage disruptive ventures across fintech, healthtech, sustainability, and Industry 4.0.

Elevation Capital trims Ixigo stake, clocks 25X return Elevation Capital (formerly SAIF Partners) has offloaded 21.5 lakh shares in Le Travenues Technology Ltd, the parent company of travel tech firm Ixigo, for Rs 38.27 crore (around $4.5 million). The partial exit marks a nearly 25X return on its investment. According to a disclosure on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), SAIF Partners sold 21.5 lakh equity shares at Rs 178 each through block deals. This marks Elevation’s third partial exit from Ixigo. The VC firm had earlier sold shares worth Rs 100 crore ($12 million) in a pre-IPO secondary transaction, followed by a Rs 180 crore ($21 million) sell-off during the IPO via the offer-for-sale (OFS) route, together delivering estimated returns of 13X. As of March 31, 2025, Elevation held around 14.2% in Ixigo, down sharply from 23.4% in February 2024. The sell-off comes at a time when Ixigo reported a 72% year-on-year jump in revenue to Rs 284 crore in Q4 FY25, while its profit rose 2.4X to Rs 17 crore. For the full fiscal year (FY25), the company posted Rs 914 crore in revenue. At the close of today’s trading session (Tuesday, May 19), Ixigo’s shares were priced at Rs 174.6 each, with a total market capitalization of Rs 6,811 crore (approximately $800 million).
