Apple is exploring the development of AI-powered smart glasses and camera-equipped AirPods, according to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg. The smart glasses would serve as a cheaper alternative to the Vision Pro, featuring more sensors, AI capabilities, and better battery life. Although they are not the high-quality transparent displays that Apple aims for in AR glasses, they would resemble Meta Ray-Bans with cameras and an AI assistant. Additionally, Apple is exploring the idea of adding low-resolution cameras to AirPods, potentially paired with AI to assist users with their routines. These developments aim to enhance Apple's wearables division as it seeks new opportunities in the market.
