Apple denies violating US court order in Epic Games lawsuit

Apple has denied violating a court order regarding its App Store and has urged a California federal judge to reject a request by Fortnite developer, Epic Games, to hold it in contempt. In a filing to the court, Apple criticized Epic's attempt to make its tools and technologies available to developers for free, stating that it wanted to micromanage Apple's business operations to increase its own profitability. This dispute is part of a long-standing fight between the two companies, with Epic largely losing its case against Apple but winning a court order allowing developers greater freedom with payment methods for digital goods. Other companies, including Meta Platforms, Microsoft, and Match Group, have also accused Apple of violating the court's order.
