Android will be able to detect if your phone has been snatched

Google has announced new security features for Android 15, including theft detection and remote locking capabilities. Theft Detection Lock can recognize the movements associated with someone snatching your phone and automatically locks the screen to prevent unauthorized access. Additionally, users will be able to remotely lock their phone by visiting android.com/lock and entering their phone number. Android 15 also introduces private spaces for hiding apps and information, as well as enhanced protection for phone resets. Play Protect will have improved AI capabilities to detect potential threats and phishing attempts. These features will be available to older Android versions through a Google Play services update.
