AI PCs running LLMs without net to solve data privacy issues: Dell executive

Dell has introduced a range of AI-enabled laptops powered by Intel's latest three-part core processor, providing faster processing and auto-enhancement capabilities. These laptops allow users to run large language models without requiring internet connectivity or cloud processing, addressing data privacy concerns. The new Dell laptop range aims to cater to professionals, creators, gamers, and students who are increasingly using AI applications. While the pricing of AI PCs remains on the higher-end currently, IDC predicts that nearly 60% of laptops sold worldwide will be AI-enabled by 2027. However, experts believe mass adoption may take longer due to factors like high pricing and limited usability.
