AI helps boost creativity in the workplace but still can't compete with people's problem-solving skills, study finds

Artificial intelligence (AI) is set to reshape the workplace, but a recent study has found that people mistrust AI for the wrong reasons. The study, titled "How People Can Create—and Destroy—Value with Generative AI," revealed that individuals are more trusting of AI for tasks where it is more likely to make mistakes. However, when it comes to tasks requiring problem-solving skills, human performance outweighs the capabilities of AI. The study also highlighted the potential reduction in diversity of thought when relying heavily on generative AI. Ultimately, the study suggests that AI will become an important tool for collaboration between humans and machines in the workplace.
