Engineer Ken Pillonel has created a DIY kit that allows users to convert the charging port of Apple's AirPods Max headphones from Lightning to USB-C. This modification comes ahead of Apple's expected switch to USB-C in the next version of AirPods Max. Pillonel's kit, priced at $45, includes instructions for installation. Apple fans have long been waiting for a fully USB-C product lineup, and the company has already made the switch in its latest AirPods Pro and iPhone 15 models. Pillonel previously created a prototype iPhone with a working USB-C port, which sold for $85,550 on eBay.
