As a UX freelancer or consultant, here's my take on Google Analytics, Pendo, & Mixpanel (2025 data): - Data Accuracy: GA4 samples large datasets for estimates. Mixpanel has iOS event gaps. GA4 lacks offline tracking. Pendo Journey tracking is painful. - Privacy Risks: Up to 50% data loss from ad blockers in GA4. - Costs: Pendo's opaque pricing. Mixpanel caps free events at 1M. - Usability: Steep fall down the curves in all, the GA4 overhaul is clunky. Mixpanel navigation is tough. - Gaps: No sentiment in GA4. Pendo is weak on mobile (It could be CleverTap, but I haven't used it yet). Mixpanel dashboards are rigid. - Support: Pendo bugs. Mixpanel has slow responses. Alts: Umami for privacy (no cookies, I use it for my portfolio website). PostHog for startups (free tier, replays, catch - you need BA's/Experts). Not used, but Amplitude (Read somewhere that they provide better support). These opinions are based on personal experience; other tools in the market may perform better. I am still exploring.
