I just finished reading about OpenAI’s new Jobs Platform and Certifications program. It’s fantastic that we're using AI to unlock economic opportunities and help people upskill. The evolution of AI is rapid and full of potential. But a thought has been nagging at me: In this future where AI helps us get certified and find jobs, what is the role of human judgment? We’re moving toward a world where algorithms, trained on past data, will be the primary "judges"—evaluating our skills, screening our resumes, and deciding who is a good fit. My biggest concern is that this will be seen as an unbiased process, when in reality, it may simply be automating existing biases on a massive scale. If we let AI take over this critical function, what happens to our uniquely human abilities to assess, empathize, and see beyond a pre-defined set of data points? Will we become passive participants in a system where we no longer have to think critically about one another? What do you think? As AI becomes more integrated into our professional lives, how do we protect the invaluable role of human judgment?
