Rethinking 2FA: Is There a Better Way? Tried logging into Axis Bank’s Internet Banking lately? Here’s the flow: 1. Go to their website – you need an OTP. 2. But the OTP isn’t sent via SMS. 3. You have to log into their mobile app (via MPIN) to generate the OTP. 4. Then type that OTP back on the website. Sounds secure? Yes. Convenient? Not always. Now imagine this scenario: Your phone is dead, lost, or just not with you. How do you log in? This made me wonder — in a world increasingly leaning into digital-first experiences, what could be the next generation of 2FA for banking pages? How can we balance security, convenience, and accessibility? Would love to hear thoughts — from security experts, product designers, and anyone who’s ever been stuck in this login loop. What would your ideal 2FA experience look like for banking apps? #CyberSecurity #UXDesign #Fintech #2FA #DigitalBanking #ProductThinking
