The obsession with VC funding is destroying entrepreneurship. Only about 1% of businesses ever receive venture funding, yet everyone acts like it's the only legitimate path. Many successful businesses never take outside capital. Instead of asking how to get VC funding, ask how to build a profitable business that creates value for customers. Once you've done that, you'll either not need funding or find it much easier to secure on favorable terms.
