How Apple and Android Killed Blackberry Billions to bankruptcy #6 The first BlackBerry device was released in 1999.They gained popularity by their unique physical keyboard design.They reached peak with the BB Curve and BB Bold series known for their unique design and advanced features.BlackBerry had over 20% of the global smartphone market share. iphone was launched in 2007 marked the beginning of significant competition. iPhone's touchscreen and ecosystem revolutionized the industry.Then android offered customizable and user-friendly devices. To compete with them they introduced device called BB strom but it was a failure.BB’s market share continued to plummet as iOS and Android dominated the market. In 2016 BB announced it would stop manufacturing its own phones and focus on software and services particularly in cybersecurity, IoT and enterprise solutions.

Key factor to run a company/business is keep inovative and upto date in marketing strategy ,They were lacking in both at the time .The introduction of the Apple iPhone, which BlackBerry didn't take seriously, caused a loss of market share that BlackBerry couldn't recover from.
