For me, it highlights the importance of keeping your skills sharp and resume updated. No job is 100% safe when companies shift priorities so quickly.

I think the layoffs expose how much bloat and overhiring happened during the pandemic bull run. Companies got drunk on easy money and are now being forced to sober up.

Just focus on self-growth! Invest in improving your knowledge and skills. Don't let the unpredictable market situation baffle you! While you focus on companies firing employees; you miss to notice that they also retain some. Be a MVP!

You will be hired quickly and fired even quicker so make sure that you are updated about the recent market trends, you are well aware of the activites / developments in your “sector”.
