I am building a 1:1 mentorship site to solve a guidance problem. It simply works like , our platform will have vast number of mentors from different categories starting from content creators, influencers to founders and specialist therapist. ( We already have 20 mentors to start with, they are working at Goldman sach , Zomato etc) I know there are some are available, but they not focusing on broader niche and the price is very high. We are planning to do 15 min, 39 min session and experience of mentors, accordingly that pricing will differ. But pricing will be affordable. We are also planning to add portfolio reviews, how to grow on LinkedIn from various experienced peoples and many more. Like I can say we want to be a Market place of mentors and guidances. So tell me in the comments, what are your views on this. Or what else we can add here. And i need a graphic designer to work with and GTM strategist. Dm me on LinkedIn or X. Thanks.

Sounds good I had developed a similar platform back in 2020, They had to pivot their Idea and make it more focused on students. PMF is Important and there will be a lot of changes in the future. All the very best for that.

LearnApp had better selection of mentors. Though it wasn’t the entirely live, that wasn’t the problem. The learning market in India is pretty price sensitive, I’ve seen professionals suggesting each other stuff, but at the end of the day they all want it for free from YT. Even with big backers, being profitable, on a scale is often pretty difficult.

I totally accept that we want free stuff from you tube but I think the idea is really good. The freshers and people who want to change their domain of working always look for ways to learn more and be good at what they do. Attracting mentors will be a challenge, need a pricing model for that. But for attracting mentee / learners basic promotion and social media would be enough I guess. People are using LinkedIn as a way to learn these days. So an app like this could be beneficial. But the success depends on the quality of good mentors and what they get out of it !?

It is very difficult to find mentors who want to share their journeys with others or mentor others. Most of these will be influencers and they will be over the top. Getting a good mentor who can understand the individual and mentor will be the biggest challenge. Good mentors take time to understand the person and then suggest. Whereas you will find a lot of people who will just join the platform to make a few extra bucks but will not really be of any help. Probably you will first have to train the mentors themselves in behavioural sciences so that they provide a realistic approach. After all everyone is different and what works for one person, doens't necessarily work for the other.

1 min Cinema is new trend on Instagram! How to do that? Shoot cinematic shots! Sit down and watch them. Add a context to each frame. Build a story around that. Bring videos to any video editor even on VN Edit frame by frame. Add SFX Add voiceover!

How many of you are using youtube premium already or planning to take? Youtube is planning to include adds in the video stream itself so add blockers wont work anymore.
