However, the Mumbai-based companyโ€™s profit remained modest at Rs 4 crore in the final quarter of the previous fiscal year. Nazaraโ€™s operating revenue rose by 95.3% to Rs 520 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 266 crore in Q4 FY24, according to its audited consolidated financial statements sourced from the National Stock Exchange (NSE). E-sports accounted for 41.5% (Rs 216 crore) of the companyโ€™s total operating revenue, while the gaming segment held a 30% share (Rs 156 crore), followed by ad tech, which contributed 28% (Rs 148 crore). Nazara also earned Rs 18 crore from interest and gains on financial assets during the quarter, bringing its overall revenue to Rs 539 crore. However, the company posted a 40.8% YoY increase in its total income to Rs 1,715 crore in FY25, compared to Rs 1,218 crore in FY24. On the line of scale, Nazaraโ€™s total expenses surged by 85.3% to Rs 528 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 285 crore in the same quarter last year. Content and commission costs together stood at Rs 186 crore, while employee benefit expenses rose to Rs 80 crore. Notably, marketing expenses saw a sharp 3.5X jump, reaching Rs 151 crore in Q4 FY25. Despite a 95% year-on-year revenue growth in Q4, the companyโ€™s profit remained flat at Rs 4 crore in Q4 FY25. For the full fiscal year, its net profit declined to Rs 51 crore in FY25 from Rs 74.7 crore in FY24. Last week, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) also approved the acquisition of a majority stake and control over Nazara Technologies Limited by Axana Estates LLP, Plutus Wealth Management LLP, and Junomoneta Finsol Private Limited. Nazara is currently trading at Rs 1,270 (as of 03.41 PM) with a total market capitalization of Rs 11,127 crore (approximately $1.3 billion).

Income from the booking of hotels and packages accounted for 80% of TBOโ€™s revenue, which increased to Rs 357 crore in Q4 FY25. Meanwhile, income from air ticketing and other allied services brought Rs 79 crore and Rs 10 crore to the firmโ€™s coffers. Hotels and packages, as the top revenue source, made service fees the largest cost center, accounting for 33.75% of total expenditure or Rs 135 crore in Q4 FY25. Employee benefits were Rs 99 crore in the same quarter. Overall, total costs rose to Rs 400 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 325 crore in Q4 FY24. The decent surge in scale and controlled expenditure led TBO to post a 28.3% YOY increase in its profits after tax to Rs 59 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 46 crore in Q4 FY24. However, for the full fiscal year, it posted a 15% YoY increase in PAT to Rs 230 crore in the previous fiscal (FY25). At the end of todayโ€™s (Thursday, May 22) trading session, TBO Tek saw around a 3% decrease in its stock, which stood at Rs 1,197 with a total market capitalization of Rs 13,005 crore or ($1.53 billion).

The Noida-based companyโ€™s operating revenue rose to Rs 750 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 657 crore in Q4 FY24, according to documents sourced from the National Stock Exchange (NSE). On a fiscal basis, the Sanjeev Bikhchandani-led firm recorded Rs 2,849 crore in revenue during FY25, a 12% increase from Rs 2,536 crore in FY24. Info Edge derives the majority of its revenue from Naukri.com, which contributed Rs 542 crore in the quarter ending March 2025, a 13% year-on-year growth compared to Q4 FY24. Meanwhile, revenue from 99acres reached Rs 106 crore, while the Jeevansathi and Shiksha segments collectively generated Rs 102 crore during the same quarter. The company added another Rs 520 crore from interest on deposits and investment which pushed its overall revenue to Rs 1,270 crore in Q4 FY25. On the fiscal basis, its total income stood at Rs 3,922 crore in FY25. On expense side, Info Edge spent 61% of its overall expenditure on employee benefits, which increased a modest 13% year-on-year to Rs 331 crore in Q4 FY25. Its advertising and internet costs stood at Rs 100 crore and 21 crore, respectively. The companyโ€™s overall cost grew 15% YoY to Rs 539 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 469 crore in Q4 FY24. Meanwhile on the fiscal basis, total cost rose 9% to Rs 2,002 crore in FY25. The steady growth and surge in other income with controlled expenditure led its profits to spike 7.7X to Rs 678 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 88 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal basis, the firmโ€™s profit doubled to Rs 1,310 crore in FY25 from Rs 594 crore in FY24. As of 2:43 PM, Info Edge is trading at Rs 1,456, down 1.19% from todayโ€™s opening price. This revenue source increased by 51% to Rs 127 crore in Q4 FY25. However, income from the sale of its devices generated Rs 16.5 crore in revenue. The cost of IoT devices, employee benefits, and outsourced technical services were the major cost elements, pushing the total cost of the firm to Rs 90 crore in Q4 FY25, up from Rs 72 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal basis, the total cost increased to Rs 306 crore in FY25. With the increase in scale, MapMyIndia recorded a 29% increase in its profit to Rs 49 crore during Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 38 crore in the fourth quarter of the previous fiscal year. Blackbuck booked profit before tax of Rs 41 crore in Q4 FY25, as compared to a loss of Rs 87 crore in Q4 FY24. Meanwhile, for the full fiscal year ended March 2025, the company remained at a loss of Rs 283 crore (before tax), 69% more than Rs 167 crore in FY24. Nazara also made Rs 25.57 crore via interest and gains on financial assets during the quarter which pushed its overall revenue to Rs 275.65 crore. The company reduced its total expenses by 15.44%, bringing them down to Rs 241 crore in Q1 FY25 from Rs 285 crore in Q4 FY24. As per TheKredible, the company has acquired 14 startups to date, with 4 deals concluded in the last two months including Fusebox Games, Kiddopiaโ€™s developer Paper Boat Apps, IP rights of Ultimate Teen Patti and assets of DeltiasGaming. Nazara has seen significant success in its โ€˜acquire and scaleโ€™ strategy over the last few years and plans to invest $100 million for mergers and acquisitions in the coming two years. Nazara also made headlines last month when Openplay Technologies and Halaplay Technologies, the two subsidiaries of the gaming firm, received notice from the Goods and Services (GST) department to pay nearly Rs 1,120 crore in retrospective taxes for the period of FY18 to FY23. Meanwhile, the delivery charges saw 27% growth to Rs 1,161 crore in Q4 FY25. Swiggy spent Rs 695 crore and Rs 978 crore on employee benefits and advertising, respectively. Overall, Swiggyโ€™s total expenses for the quarter increased 53% to Rs 5,609 crore from Rs 3,668 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal-on-fiscal year basis, its total expenses increased to Rs 18,725 crore in the quarter ending March 2025 from Rs 13,947 crore in FY24. For the digital payment firm, its payment processing was the largest cost center, rising by 68% to Rs 1,025 crore. Including other undisclosed income, its total income for Q4 FY25 grew to Rs 189 crore, up from Rs 161 crore in Q4 FY24. The Mumbai-based company operates in three segments: Consumer, Remarketing, and Classifieds. Income from the consumer segment formed 37% of the total operating revenue which increased to Rs 63 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 49 crore in Q4 FY24. Income from the remarketing and classified segment stood at Rs 59 crore and Rs 47 crore, respectively, in the fourth quarter of the ongoing fiscal year. During the full fiscal year (FY25), income from the consumer segment stood at Rs 238 crore, whereas collection from the remarketing and classified segment stood at Rs 212 crore and Rs 192 crore, respectively. On the expense front, employee benefits expenses formed 52% of the overall spending which went up a modest 6% to Rs 71 crore during the period. Including other costs, CarTradeโ€™s overall expenses increased 4% to Rs 136 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 131 crore during Q4 FY24. On a fiscal-on-fiscal year basis, its overall expenses increased to Rs 543 crore in the last fiscal year from Rs 457 crore in FY24. The decent growth and controlled spending enabled CarTrade to double its net profit to Rs 46 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 23 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal basis, the companyโ€™s profit spiked to Rs 145 crore in FY25. CarTrade recorded a 5.8% hike in its share price today and is trading at Rs 1,721 (as of 12:50) with a total market capitalization of Rs 8,168 crore.

Meanwhile, for the full fiscal year, the Noida-based firmโ€™s revenue fell 31% to Rs 6,900 crore in the fiscal year ending March 2025 from Rs 9,977 crore in FY24. Paytm has not disclosed its revenue breakup. The company also added Rs 224 crore from other non-operating sources, bringing its overall revenue to Rs 2,135 crore in Q4 FY25. According to the company, its Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) for the quarter stood at Rs 5.1 Lakh crore, while its average monthly transacting users (MTUs) increased to 7.2 crore in the previous quarter. For the fintech firm, its employee benefits remained the largest cost center, accounting for 35% of the overall cost, which decreased by 32% to Rs 748 crore in Q4 FY25. Its payment processing charges reduced by 27% to Rs 52 crore, and marketing expenses increased by 10% to Rs 142 crore in Q4 FY25. Software, communication, legal, cashback, and other overheads took the total expenditure to Rs 2,155 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 2,691 crore in Q4 FY24. Paytm reduced its losses by 96% to Rs 23 crore in Q4 FY25, down from Rs 536 crore in Q4 FY24. This figure excludes a one-time cost of Rs 522 crore, which includes Rs 492 crore in ESOP expenses and Rs 17 crore in transaction costs related to the sale of its movie ticketing business. As of May 6, Paytmโ€™s share price fell over 6% to Rs 816 with the total market capitalization standing at Rs 52,082 crore.

Marketing, legal, rent, and technology expenses were key overheads that drove total expenditure up to Rs 2,060 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 1,737 crore in the same quarter last year. For the fiscal year ending March 2025, the companyโ€™s total expenses rose to Rs 7,992 crore. BrainBeesโ€™ loss surged by 74% to Rs 75 crore in Q4 FY25. For FY25, the firm losses stood at 215 crore in FY25, down from Rs 321 crore in FY24. (We have excluded exceptional items amounting to Rs 37 crore from the loss calculation.) BrainBees debuted on the stock exchange at Rs 446 and is now trading at 376.5 on May 26, bringing its total market capitalization to Rs 19,631 crore.
