Invesco Asset Management India and its CEO, Saurabh Nanavati, have settled with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in a case involving alleged non-segregation of mutual fund and portfolio management activities. The settlement followed the payment of approximately ₹5 crore ($690,000) by the entities involved. SEBI had alleged that there was no clear segregation between the two activities and that Invesco Asset Management India had not maintained an arms-length relationship between its portfolio management and mutual fund arms. The settlement brings an end to the proceedings initiated by SEBI against the entities.
