What's your revenue model then?
I think this idea is same as ROADBAYS which came on shark tank india session 2
Yeah I checked Roadbez but thats the same normal taxipool . They schedule a taxi from one place to other in a specific time and those who all want to join can book them just like a bus but travels through villages Ridepal is very different its for getting a ridepartners for your cab , from any where you can search people who also wants to travel and if they travel to your same direction you could chat with them and add them Please checkout comment section I have clearly described how we work
But brother, ola and uber already as this car pooling features
Android Studio bro
What's your techstack?
In ola uber if we want ride share we will opt that option and in next 1/2 to 1 hour we might get someone who would be travelling in my route only . In my app we could connect to anyone anytime , we can connect to any active users and that person need not be travelling in my route but same direction is also acceptable and when dividing the fare it would be cheaper Checkout my comment bro I have an detailed explanation
What we will be doing in Ridepal : Let us take an example of two people Rajeev and Kiran travelling in Bangalore Rajeev is in brigade road and wants to travel to Electronic city and Kiran who is at commercial street wants to go to Madivala Rajeev looks to Ridepal to find ride partner and finds kiran , they chat and decides that rajeev will book the cab and pick up kiran . Rajeev books a cab and asks the driver to pickup kiran . When travelling they found one more person who wants to travel from Mangammanapalya to basapura , So since both location lie in our direction we chatted with that person and asked driver to pick him also . Then we informed cab driver that we have multiple drop locations and asked him the fare , Since there are multiple pick up and drop location the fare will be higher but when splitting among three each one will be paying least money Rajeev: brigade to Electronic city (150 Rs) Kiran : commercial street to Madivala (200 Rs) Third person : Mangammanapalya to basapura (70 Rs ) The cab driver takes : 300 Rs in total When splitting Rajeev : 100 Kiran :150 Third person:50 So all of them making a good profit And the person getting down last will collect the money and can pay the driver

Our primary target is for saving money because people aged between 20s and 30s who has just entered to work culture for them saving a good amount of money on their cab would be a great thing and in this busy corporate life they would surely like to socialise to new people and make new friends
Thanks Sourabh for this beautiful comment
Here's a brief overview of the business Ridepal and revenue model from my side: Business Model: 1. Cost Efficiency: By pooling rides, these services reduce the cost for passengers and optimize vehicle utilization, allowing drivers to earn more on a single trip. 2. Dynamic Pricing: Prices adjust based on demand, time of day, and traffic conditions. 3. Partnerships: Companies often collaborate with corporate clients to offer ride-sharing for employees, ensuring consistent demand. 4. Tech-driven: The use of sophisticated algorithms ensures efficient route planning, minimizing detours and saving fuel. 5. Environmentally Friendly: Reduced number of cars on the road leads to lower emissions, which is a selling point for eco-conscious users. Revenue Model: 1. Ride Fare: Revenue is generated from ride fares, with a 15% commission taken by the platform from each trip for short ride and 22% for long run. 2. Surge Pricing: Higher fares during peak hours or high-demand times increase revenue. 3. Subscription Plans: Some companies offer subscription services with discounts on pooled rides, providing steady cash flow. 4. Advertising: In-car advertisements, as well as in-app promotions, can add an additional revenue stream. Future Projections: 1. Market Growth: The market is expected to grow as urbanization continues, leading to higher demand for affordable and efficient transport solutions. 2. Sustainability Focus: With a push for green solutions, pooled rides can attract environmentally-conscious consumers, giving this model a competitive edge. 3. Tech Integration: Enhanced AI and data analytics will improve ride matching and routing, making services faster and more reliable. 4. Government Initiatives: Policies promoting shared mobility and reducing carbon emissions will likely support this sector's growth. Overall, the future of pool-sharing taxis in India appears promising, as it aligns with urban mobility trends, economic savings, and sustainability goals.
